This is inspiring. I have a major project this year where we have to make a game and I've been debating weather it should be 2D or 3D and seeing this makes me want to go 3D, with generated levels like this! ![]()
WIP in WIP, post your level screenshots!

I'd really love to show off some of my proper NS2 work, but it's not public yet. I can show off something I've been playing with a bit recently in my spare time.

This is a scene I did for the Interlopers.net mapbattle 49, a template (dev bridge) was provided. All assets are valve's except for the creepy guy shadow

It took me around 24 actual hours to make and I am pretty happy with the results. I consider it to be finished but I 'd still love to hear critism on it!

Looks really nice marnamai, good job.

Thank you everyone for the kind comments

JeanPaul: there is some fog allready but it's very subtle and blends with the skybox, look at the buildings behind the bridge. Unless you mean fog above the water offcource.
Pampers: I wasn't planning on making it playable, I don't even own DoD and all the assets are from L4D2 and Lost Coast.

I wonder if JeanPaul's statement about being confined to bridges and suspended walkways was sarcastic or not ... because I honestly don't think it would make good gameplay.

Sarcasm.

marnamai I can see how the right side of the first image with the posts having nothing behind them might happen on a foggy night but it's leaving me feeling like the design falls off the image/incomplete. Remember the old design maxim that a composition should extend beyond the art-board's border so that it feels anchored. So I think you should add a really rough and simple grey shape behind that in the fog. I.E. the impression of a roofline in 3dskybox.

@ JeanPaul: I am not able to answer that as I don't own DoD. But a map based on venice with bridges and walkways, while confining the player to them seems just like an overdose of chokepoints.
I could compare it with 2Fort, its a great design but usually ends up becoming stale rather quick, because monstly both parties start turtling.
