Probably a bit too ambitious to start my own thread for my scene, since most of you just post your stuff in this thread. So i'll just follow your lead

Everything except for the rocks and the vegetation is custom content. I plan on doing everything, but I used these for now to get the feeling right...

    Wow looks great.

Would you mind telling how you did the curved path?

your custom content looks better than the default one the rocks look more like organics.

Well, you already had your own thread, so keep it updated! And it keeps the forum organized, I don't like these threads where everyone dumps their stuff on

Well yeah but I was asking if he used a bend modifier adjusting the original texture to fit it or if that's an unique mesh with a unique texture

@ minotauro: it is completely modeled. I could try and bend it, but nothing beats a whole new mesh i think. couldn't reuse the texture either, so made a new one for that... well, "new one", copy layers and repaint damage, not really new i suppose

Looking good Term!nator525. What engine is that for? If possible, I'd suggest some pipes, cables and other interesting models to shake off the geometric, goldsource look.

Decided to whip up an arena map while mr2videocards has the vmf for our map cp_factory.

It's called arena_desolation. Basically, it's an arena map, in the middle of a desert, 95% rocks and terrain, only a couple small buildings. A very desolate place. This fits nicely with my goal of finishing the map in under 24 hours total.

After 2 hours hours or so work the layout for half the map (it'll be symmetrical) is nearly done:

Ignore the props and stuff, just focus on Shadow and lighting, what needs to be learned/fixed?

Honestly - I've never played Crysis, but the lighting is way too bloomy imo.
