That's looking damn nice. I think some bold splashes of colour could make it even better. Purhaps add some colour to the building framework and the wall panels below the windows.

This is not an all new version fyi, but a touch up of the original book.

    Changelist:

    Quote

An all new introduction chapter covering the history and future of level design, and common problems in the profession of a level designerNew In-depth sections covering composition and floorplans.

A few dozen small additions on a wide range of subjects such as pacing in singleplayer gameplay, checkpoints, and so on.

Dozens of all new or updated example screenshots.

The level Krodan added as a third example level.

An all new layout and much improved visual style.

The book is now printed on A4 paper size.

All the text throughout the entire book was touched up and improved significantly, and certain parts were clarified.

Little update for the map I'm working on for Calamity Fuse. Worked on some of the curves, added some more displacements, new textures and a fog layer. The design is based off of smooth and sloping granitic rocks from glacial movement like in Tuolumne meadows, as well as volcanic hexagonal basalt columns found in places like Devil's Postpile and Giants' Causeway

These are amazing. Never heard of that mod (Game?) before, I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

Aah ok spijtig, ik heb je ondertussen al gePM'd of hoe ik het dan ook moet vernederlandsen maar dan zal het waarschijnlijk dus niet mogelijk zijn

Anyway, let's just continue talking in English before our silly language drives everyone mad in here

Guess it's good thing that I haven't yet had the money to purchase, now that the second edition is out. The lighting and DM gameplay guides on your site are informative and helpful, so I'd deffinitely be making a future purchase for the full book. Do you think there'll be a second edition of your other book anytime soon?

Nop, I do not plan to update it at all for the time being. I think it is good as it is. May try and get a publisher interested in it though, to try and reach a bigger audience.

That's pretty cool looking. What kind of design are you gonna go for, texture-wise?

EditL: Also, this for HL2DM? I reinstalled that last week, and not a single server was below 150 ping, or running a non-custom map and gamemode. It was all some roleplay thing apparently.

I'm still in a HL2:DM clan, from ye old days but it's still alive and has one of the most popular DM servers, its a 24/7 dm_runoff server...

And I already made a small texture pack for this map, but the map itself isn't ready to get textured yet, the geometry is about 90% done, I'm still detailing the interior. And I still need to make some more textures...

And I'm going for a concrete textures and the map itself should have a futuristic design. And I'm going to release this for HL2:DM but it's more of a portfolio piece, since my portfolio only contained unfinished work or WIP maps, so this would be my first completely finished and released map.

Some people also recommended me to make a TF2 map out of this, and a friend of me who has more experience on the TF2 style-mapping is willing to help me with that, but first I want to finish it as a DM map
