The ambience looks very good. Things to improove are imo:
- roofs (they look hl1'ish in most of the screens)
- snow/street transition (blend the textures)
- texture alignment (at the screen with the door closeup all the wall textures arn't aligned)
Other then that the map looks promising.

all glass needs frosting + what's been allready said

You can actually do rounded wood like that, I've seen a video of it being done. You need to do stuff to the temperature and such so it dries like that, though.

Kind of rare though, so probably not suited to a typical street.

Thanks all for comments and critics !!

I will correct all this things.
I make this map for a competition, which ends on December 31st I hope to end it in time

Thanks for the tips guys. I upped the fog, a little too much maybe

Hopefully I'll be releasing later this week!

The fog looks awesome. It really contrasts well with the sky above, although I still think it'd be awesome to have beams of light cutting through the fog from there.

An area i have been putting together for a university group project. Props are from hl2 or were provided by the group, save for church benches. Lighting needs toning down on the pub and the sun also but its getting there.
Images are quite large

looks awesome, pogo.

PaulH:
Not bad

The wall texture on the 3rd picture looks over-sized, higher resolution texture would fit better.
-
I agree, it's a HL2 texture but its obviously designed to fit smaller walls, i just liked how it fit into the environment so i stretched it a bit
I'll try some alternatives. -

More texture variation please. I know that's how many portal maps are like, but look at vivis map for some inspiration. Something original wouldn't hurt

Looks good Paul. What's your project entail? As far as tweaking the lighting goes, if you're not using a custom skybox the wiki Skylist page has recommended settings for all skyboxes. They're a good starting point.
When it comes to screenshots my personall preference is a width less than 1024. Considering that they're being viewed in a browser, I'd prefer the majority to be able to see the entire image at 100% scale.
