Method is back. Lately I've been learning modo and making more textures, but after seeing The City of Lost Children again, I was inspired to build something of similar atmosphere in Doom 3/Quake 4. This is WIP of few days worth of work:

Am I hitting the City of Lost Children atmosphere whoever seen the movie? Feedback is welcome,

Looks okay but it's way too grey and needs some serious contrast.

    +1

Moreover you should add dirts, rains, posters, spotlights and lots of details like that.

Sure, I was watching that movie about 5 times I suggest you to add more pipes and rust-stuff things + more sephia and contrast...

    It's very moody! :>

What the other guys said, I like the textures, very nice!

I'd also tone down the fog just a little.. its a tad too heavy

Are some of those actually Kingpin textures? I swear those are the same windows. Looks cool anyway, needs more colour variation though. How did you make that water? It looks like Source!

Thanks guys. Yes it's Doom 3 (Quake 4).

D3ads: The water is just a custom diffuse that was created for the water texture added in one of Quake 4 patches. The textures are all custom and those windows were created from this texture:

    -----------------------------------------------------

I expended the area and made it more brownish.

    Kickass stuff

Not really a fan of the fog setup though (you could use a more colorful tone and set the start distance a little further in my opinion)

Yeah the fog is ruining it IMO.

I quite like the brown look with the fog, myself. Reminds me of PainKiller in a good way.

it's a nice change in atmosphere, something gothic about it, usually all we see here is a new french town for dod:s. i really like to see something different, and anything that is close to the gothic style or noir style will be warmly welcomed by me.

Thanks guys, still working on it.

JeanPaul: It's not a real water in Doom 3. It's a hack. A shader that uses heathaze to distort a texture. It was included with Ritual's Quake 4 patch. I simply made my own diffuse and spec.

That map reminds me of that Alfred Hitchcock film... Rear window. Does anyone else think so?
