Never worked with the source engine before? The shadows aren't caused by lights in the environment, they're all from a set angle (I assume whatever angle light_env is?). That's why you get this kind of thing happening.

Actually those shadows under the pallet only apply to dynamic props and player models and are configured with a seperate entity. This entity let you chose the angle of where the shadow will appear below the object. This has nothing to do with the light_env.

Yes It's a model and the shadows appears with him...If I remove the shadows It will be also not realistic...Well, I think of leaving as that... a lamp is not far thus it is ok.

Thanks for the comments And wait, the B2 will come soon!

for such a large wall as that, would you want the texture to tile like that or would it be preferred that it all be once mass (without the horizontal lines every 128units)?

I don't like the way the textures blend. Actually, I feel there's no blend mostly due to that dark, murky brown texture used on the right of the screen. I also agree with Dradz about that wall texture too.

Needs more localised lighting and more varied texturing to help bring out the form. I also agree about the vents. If you sort that out it'll really bring it up to scratch

What I've been working on most recently, need to finalise some of the textures, the floor is mad ugly but I wanted to post something so meh.

    Bscly

I say re-re-make it again, and try not to use so much of the original geometry, but instead, use a general idea of what the area concept is and build from there.

Reminds me of an update of the Source SDK that led to the apparition of the "Realtime lightning preview" in the 3D viewport of Hammer.. unfortunately, this view never worked and was removed few days later by another quick update..

Well, heres something I've started, it was origionally going to be a shot for my, yet to exist, protfolio, but have now changed my mind and want to intergrate this into a full map of somekind.
