Where's They Hunger: Lost Souls gone?

Well I'm the author of that comment on Moddb. I've contacted an Moddb member who have got an email from Neil Manke.

He said that Neil and Einar are going to continue work on THLS This winter! But no promises. As he told me, Their lives are hectic right now.

Well I completed They Hunger Trilgoy and I can't wait to play Lost Souls!

i hate to be the next skeptic, but do you by any chance have any proof of this? if what you say is true, i could not be more excited

Well. I can't prove that. "He" said that he accidentaly deleted the emails (He said about THLS on another member's profile, and I asked him personally) So he doesn't have chance to prove it. But he was the maker of the (unfinished yet) They Hunger Source mod so I belive him only in a part.

And I forgot to announce! Unlike rumors were, Neil is all ok,I know this from a reliable source! I've seen many of posts saying that Neil is dead or extremely ill, but they're false.

It's been a year and still nothing new. I've read that they just never got to finish the game. I'd like to play a source version of the TH:Trilogy because imho there are no cool zombie games with similar atmosphere ( The Forgotten Ones was good at the beginning but rest of it is shieheet, The Willows mod looked great ) Hell. It would be cool if someone would recreate LS basing on the screenshots, game info etc.

They Hunger was so amazing.

Can't we try and convince them to release it as it is? I'm sure a ton of modders would be all over it. I understand they wanted to go commercial and it would be like handing your baby over. But still, if the right people asked, talented people who they would trust, surely there must be something that could be done? Does anyone know who controls the files or led the project?

Hell, they don't own the name, it's not patented. Can't another team do an unofficial sequel? Based on what we know that Lost Souls would offer?
