Where's They Hunger: Lost Souls gone?

Was there not somebody of mapcore working on it?

I've worked on it for some time couple years ago. I haven't gotten any news from Einar/Neil regarding it lately tbh.

I also helped them out a bit a long while ago, but i have to say things weren't progressing very fast. I really hope there is some progress being made on this though, it would be a shame if it never came to fruition

Last I heard it was scrapped, but there doesn't seem to be an official word on it, so who knows?

It was never officially canned.

Actually mods don't auto-archive, if you look at the mods list page, you'll find mods that haven't been updated in 6 years and aren't archived.

So that means... yeah

lol, this was my number 1 anticipated game.

Man, on the same day I find that the Afraid of Monsters guy(s) are making something new and it's apparently "almost ready to release", too. I always liked AoM more than They Hunger, but TH was still a really, really good mod. Shame we aren't going to get more from them.

Yes, it's called Cry Of Fear;

It's a Half-Life mod, horror again set in a fictional district of Sweden. They've overhauled just about everything, enhanced Paranoia code, full working inventory Silent Hill style, save points (no quicksave/autosave), the ability to dual wield weapons and much more. I'm friends with most of the guys working on it, and I did work on it myself but a short time but ended up leaving because it wasn't working on too well (and other issues)

Those character models look damn good for HL, roughly vampire bloodlines quality and style. I like it. Afraid of Monsters is pretty much my most favorite mod ever so I have high hopes for Cry of Fear.

That map's based on ruMpel's college in real life Sweden and the layout is actually just like that...
