the lines are still straight, but that actually looks pretty good for a "cartoon" texture.

maybe add a few overlays with real concrete or something?

I'm trying to get better at making textures.

I tend to never spend too much time on them, but this one is atleast an hour in production.

It is a bit blurry, could be a little more colorful, but I want to use pretty grey textures for the map I'm making this one is for.

    Help me improve~~

/Edit: I just realized. It sort of suck, I'd probably redo it from scratch when I have the models done.

Pretty cool start. I don't much like the cracked earthy bits. Avoid using pure black and make sure the scaling makes sense. Right now the earthy parts (or at least the cracks) seem a bit too big compared to the road and grass.

But like i said, great first start.

    great first start.

agree! I think that the road i littlebit too blurry.. and i dont like those muddy things on the both side of the road, maybe just grass is better? can you try that? But its great allready, keep it up'n high!

It has got too many highlights if you would be, as in the render, using that on every side of a crate.

yeah, just tone down the highlighted spots in the top right corner (the rather large ones) and you'll have a pretty decent crate..,

Wanted to remake a texture from UT2k3, but in the creating process it turned out like this (just started to learn texture creation):

Couldn't quite get the windows to look right though

windows dont look inserted correctly and why is there a valve on a window?

Heh, it's not actually a valve but I can see the similarities! It's actually meant to be one of those Fan type things. Which is more clear on the actual source..

I'll probably have another crack at putting some windows on, sadly though it's something I’m a little clueless at.

better this way, don't you think ? ^^

perhaps the windows need some borders.

(sorry to have modified your texture)
