I've been fiddling with painted sufaces on things such as concrete and plaster walls.

Anyway I managed to come up with this one

Not bad but the painted surface looks weird. It's supposed to look smoother than the concrete, so instead of overlaying it get an smooth plaster texture and overlay over the painted part only.

I used/tried most of that already which was the inspiration for my attempts It's a nice tut btw

@Mino, I think the main problem with this texture is that I overlaid a rust texture and it made the whole texture even rougher then it already was.

Here it is without the rust

    [Blocked Image: http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/5484/paintedwall003btw0.jpg]

And here it is without the highpass filter

So as you can see I might of over done it on somethings with the actual texture.

The biggest problem i see is the fact that you have a dark line down the very middle of the tex.

Still fiddling around with the painted effect on walls, here's a bunker wall with a bottom painted section.

that one looks really good, keep it up!

but those two before, they feel a bit to noisy, try cleaning out the "randomness" a bit, it doesnt have to be so noisy.. the last texture you posted feels much better..

lol its not about how the diffuse looks, the diffuse does 10%.. its the result that matters... thats why i posted a render..

but yeah, the diffuse is a little to gray might have to give it more color
