Totally Oblivion right there. Looks exactly like the texture used in the elven shrines.

    Wow. Now that's really odd.

Or did you mean, I used the texture from Oblivion? o_O

Shapes are a little boring. I was trying to mix phototextures with handpainted stuff.

Nice texture Sindwiller, although the render looks aweful (hmm... although mine doesn't look better ).

EDIT: Thanks Phil. Yeah i know, the shadow was weird. The updated picture should be a little better.

Nice texture. But the shadow around those diagonal beams makes it look like they would float in front of the rest. and judging from the rest it seems like it goes inwards there. Also it seems your specular is a bit too even on the concrete. A good thing when dealing with stone stuff is to really break up the specular a lot and keep most of it very dark but have some small spots and all seam edges bright. Lots of contrast mainly but not just a greyscale of the diffuse

    anyhow looks cool.

Don't mind the eyes. Normal map not displayed in this one, it's a hlmv shot and its normal map function is still screwed. Grr...

edit: the hair is finally done it took me three hours straight, tiling this was a real pain too. Time to zombiefy...

edit: got the normal maps working!

    Thanks guys

Erratic, you will have to recompile the models and make sure the normal bump material flag is set in 3dsmax, that's how it worked for me atleast. Only problem is I can't disable the normal map in hlmv now but that's not really an issue.

Here's a better shot, completely finalized:

looks great though... though i don't really see a (big) difference with and without the normal map

Thanks... you don't see the normal map well in those pictures because they have very subtle lighting. Here's a comparison shot for you - smooth, normal, normal+diffuse:

The zombie version is still very WIP
