The quality of the games so far has been amazing and the final is literally a dream come true. Both deserve it imho, but given that Astralis still have to win a major I will probably root for them a bit more.

The Major is quite fun so far. A lot of good games. I especially like how Gambit and Navi present themselves at the moment.

I just find it a shame that so many good community maps will be "wasted" by Valve not doing anything. It wouldn't be too hard to just extend the operation if they know the other isn't ready yet. Or just do it like Vanguard and add some extra missions or maps to the operation as a "second phase".
But what really annoys me is the lack of attention towards the small, easy to fix bugs. Bomb stuck spots being there for months, stairs not being properly clipped on Reserve Duty maps. it's not witchcraft to fix these rather small bugs in between. I am pretty sure everyone with a bit of experience in Hammer could fix dozens of these small things that in one or two days and it would show the community that they actually care.

Tested it a bit and I think I need to work on my settings a bit to fully utilize its potential. However, sometimes my PC would experience massive FPS drops.
Maybe Valve will gift us operation 8 around Christmas....

I hope we can put our CSGO Pins on our StatTrak Gloves and other wearables soon! My SWAT Vest | Marble Fade FN is ready!

That would be cool. They could go one map at a time, first "The Aztec Competition" then "The Dust Competition", etc.

I kinda feel the game's overall structure (xp, casual, other modes, inventory, sprays etc) should be reviewed just now. There's been a lot added to the game that's kinda scattershot and neglected. They should spend the time making what they have as robust as possible before adding more STUFF.
-The UI is goddamn terrible
- account requirements for new players stumble over each other making the game a chore to get into
- demo playbacks. Don't need to say more

- R8. Too powerful, now a joke gun.
I'll shut up now I've given any game dev reading this an aneurysm.
There was a post on reddit a month ago that advocated a change in the mappools:

If they could do this and just focus on fixing and balancing their own maps and modes for a year, I would be very happy. It's not even that hard to just clip all the stairs in the Reserve Duty maps, for example. Or just hiring one or two Mapcorians for a limited time to try and get a more balanced versions of their neglected maps.. or updating the textures similar to what FMPOne did with Cache.
The way I see it, Overwatch is mainly such a huge competition for CS despite its mechnical difference because Blizzard's communication and update policies seem a lot better to huge amounts of people. And sadly, Valve has shown with its recent updates for TF2 that they just cannot compete right now. This community has lots of talented mapmakers, people very dedicated to weapon balancing (SlothSquadron), people who spend months on researching crazy small details of the game like 3kliksphilipps - if Valve would utilize these community ressources more the game could be a lot better than it already is. The only thing holding them back from fixing a lot of the rather easy stuff is honestly their company-intern approach.
-
At least they fixed some stuff on D2 and Train. But really, i wonder when they will revisit all the clipping of reserve maps, etc. as well. we need a few big updates focussed on fixing all the small little details that improve the overall quality of the game.
Other than that, glove skins are far better than limited use paid sprays.

I am actually surprised people still fall for these all caps, Tv salesman/telephone gambling type videos. It's not the 80s or the 90s anymore, almost everyone should know this is shady af....

A new comp. map would be amazing. Overpass turned out to be one of the most fun maps in the Active Duty after some work and I'd gladly welcome another completely new map.
-
And the beta branch is named "Episode 1" to boot

-
I would still enjoy a "Best of Operation" map rotation, though:
Zoo, Season, Santorini, Resort, Seaside, Agency permanently being available on Valve servers would be amazing.
-
At least make them unlimited use....
Anyway, glove skins next. Valve needs to find ways to monetize CSGO after the Washington Gambling Commission busted skin milking for good, after all.
-
Looks promising so far, really interesting in the final product.

I am blown away.

I little collection with all maps would be cool so people can subscribe to it. Otherwise, great turnout - love most of the maps in it.
