I noticed that we don't have a dedicated thread for games soundtracks, and most of the OSTs are submitted to the general "what music are you listening to" thread where they get buried within the general music videos.
I'll start by posting some of my favorite game soundtracks from the 80s to present day; it's not a full and exhaustive list mind you, just couple of my favorites OSTs off the top of my head. Probably missed a lot but could always add them later ![]()
Post your favorites to share with the rest of us so others can discover hidden gems that they might not have known about or listened to. Feel free to discuss soundtracks too.
Here goes (I'm posting one track of the soundtrack but feel free to post your full soundtrack if needed):
Contra 1987 Jungle Theme (composer: Hidenori Maezawa)
Assassins' Creed Brotherhood 2010 City of Rome (Jesper Kyd)
Assassins' Creed II 2009 Ezio's Family (Jesper Kyd)
Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings 1999 Track 1 (Stephen Rippy)
Deus Ex 2000 Unatco (Alexander Brandon)

Duke Nukem 3D 1996 Grabbag (Lee Jackson)

According the the wiki:
QuoteQuote While Nightdive Studios still owns the rights to the System Shock franchise and are in the process of making a remake of the original System Shock, they licensed the rights to develop a sequel to OtherSide Entertainment, a studio formed of ex-Looking Glass' and Irrational Games' developers who worked on one or both games of the System Shock series. Among them are Looking Glass' founder and ex-creative director Paul Neurath, and ex-Irrational Games concept artists Robb Waters and Nate Wells. Terri Brosius, SHODAN's original voice actress would also return.
In May 2020 Otherside officially informed that conglomerate Tencent would be taking System Shock 3 onward.
According to Otherside Entertainment's Warren Spector, the game will pick up where System Shock 2 left off, with SHODAN surviving by 'downloading' her consciousness into Rebecca Siddons.

I think @Squad could help you with this as he was involved in it.

Let's hope the upcoming System Shock 3 delivers and gives him a boost to dive again (he's not getting younger though)

I think the dream for me would be to bring Spector in sure, but Harvey Smith with his experience with Dishonored, Sheldon J. Pacotti and Austin Grossman amazing writing skills and Viktor Antonov directing the art, and i'd love to see how Alexander Brandon would reenvision this universe 2 decades later, with his synth heavy musical tracks.
Maybe Bethesda should buy the ip and give it to arkane?! The decision to have the DX:MD team make an Avengers game was such a weird one... Maybe they can go back to DX now.
I agree, but I see Spector as an orchestra conductor that glues the whole thing together with his vision and direction

Warren Spector should take things back into his own hands for a true sequel

Finished my playthrough: still a masterpiece and even more relevant today than it was years before.
Thinking of re-installing Invisible War; yes they dumbed it down for consoles and it lost many of the first game features/mechanics, but Alex Denton deserves a second chance, a new perspective maybe after all these years (played the retail version when it came out in 2003 and never touched it again)
Not Half-life 3 related, but any HL news is welcome at this moment

Can't get enough of these

Moving 80-100lb dumbells around is just kind of insane though and not very practical for a home gym. It's nice benching now with safety bars, there's really no risk except perhaps to the shoulders, but I just don't see it happening.
Might break out the dumbells again to do some farmer carries, that was a super fun and effective exercise that I stopped doing a while ago for no real reason. I was seeing nice benefits from them
I hope you're still following Jeff Cavaliere on youtube
(you once shared his farmer carry video if I remember correctly)
Use this video to better diagnose what the issue is with your bench press (chest vs. shoulder weakness, lack of stamina,...)
It's also useful to have a spotter while benching.
As mentioned before, your muscle memory will kick in, just don't overdo things too quickly and go back slowly and steadily to where you were before.
After 6 years since their last album, Maiden are back with a new album to be released on Sep 3.
They're in their mid 60s, and Bruce, the frontman, recently recovered from throat cancer, so a new album is a total surprise ![]()
They just released a new single from the upcoming album (the animated movie made by former Pixar executives and long-standing Maiden fans)
