Sonys stock went up after their presentation if i remember correctly.

I find this: Sony's PS4 event helps... Nintendo?

And searching this i see a number of titles criticizing the console/event about lack of functions or details.

I'm not into that kind of things, but I think stock market isn't informative in any way: they are just a bunch of people out to speculate at any occasion they get.

It felt odd, before the reveal I was telling everyone I was going to get it. Then afterwards, I'm not so sure what I want to do anymore.

Curious, if i was living in the US (or UK) i'd be quite happy, i mean, yes it's a gaming console, but to also have the TV functions in it, without having to buy and shelf another box is pretty neat. (If all that works on-demand - personally i don't even have a tv and don't watch it since many years.)

For how much we post in the dedicated topic, we all watch a lot of movies and tv-shows...

If nothing else, the different strategy between the two giants is more apparent so it should be easier to choose

You should try Conviction then, it's much more action oriented, I mean your action and reactions are quicker.

    This one is real, apparently.

    wat

Wut this doesn't seem Sony's advertisment style.

If that is real btw, the box seems to be edgy, totally in contrast with the controller. I believe it when i see it.

I think to remember that after the PS4 presentation, also Sony's stock went down: "there are no social functions!"...

I'm just looking at the pictures, but what Fmpone says makes sense.

First layout looked interesting to me, I mean it seemed CTs were invited to go middle and then turn left or right depeding on what side Ts chose. But it seemed definitely too convoluted.

Have you tested the timings? [...] Take a look at bombsite B on dust2 for example, if both teams rush that bombsite they will meet in the tunnel that connects the bombsite to the dark hall and whoever wins the battle there has easy access to the bombsite, you should aim for something like that.

Ts always have longer routes to the bombsites, that isn't necessarily an advantage, how the covers are positioned around the site determine if one team can lock down the area or not. Then the distance between bombsites would help determine if it would be of advantage to lock down a bombsite, or instead position the team further (hence meeting the Ts in some chokepoint).

That said, do agree on the timing observation, but I hope the tunnel thing isn't replicated too... I love Dust 2 but I hate the tunnel fights you mention I always detour.

And lot of people is commenting about the "Queen Industries" box... easter egg or an hint about a possible appearance of the caped archer?

For those who cares, read this morning that it is confirmed not only that Mark Hamill will not be the Joker, but also Conroy, as lot of rumors were saying.

    Good thing is that here:

    http://www.gamesradar.com/arkham-origins…ot-mark-hamill/

they say that Troy Baker, the new Joker, is perfectly up to par with Hamill and that was the thing I would care most, Batman himself doesn't talk that much so I hope they don't make the actor try to make an impression and just let him work his best.

They haven't shown the main character yet, but this teaser doesn't make me breathe "shadow warrior". Curious to see what they came up with, might turn in something interesting.

Looks nice; my impression from the shots would be that bombsites are a bit too enclosed, A especially: who is planting there doesn't seem to have an exit route and find a position to cover the bomb in time.

Exactly, so you are talking about fanboyism.

Since I've openly stated he went a bit too far with his statement, I think I might reply.

"Upset" is definitely an exaggeration (in my case). From a gamer point of view, I find very curious his choice: there are other sequel/remakes/what-have-you that came out or were announced recently to which I won't pay attention to, while Wolfenstein is something from our generation's youth, so it's quite natural to be tingled at the idea of an actualization of the game.

But imo the point is not even which game you refer to, because the message, the critique to the Industry gets lost in the noise of the gamers reaction. I don't agree at how the critique is made... I mean, we could say as well: "who needs the Nth platform game? the Nth fighting game?", there are plenty of those and aren't those stagnant as well? In fact "This is an old school [insert-game-genre-here]" has become a selling point. So, it's very shallow to put the argument in this form.

In his DICE speech Spector advocated in favour of mature, narrative-oriented games (and he was cheered on the emotional wave that GOTY The Walking Dead created); I can definitely get behind that statement, but I'm certainly not looking forward for the market to be flooded with games with little interaction and zero skill required.

After some weeks of grinding over Batman Arkham City and its challenges, yesterday I moved to Trials HD... man this is one of the hardest games ever! Level designers really put their best to have people come up with new ways of swearing

I seriously don't have an idea of the value a texture-pack can have; the website i linked it's just an offer frontend, usually they have (web)design stuff, vectors, icons, templates... i noticed the textures and they seem really good quality so I posted 'em.

To be sincere, I still haven't bought anything there.

LOL @ people being shallow thinking he was bitter about his own games being "failures".

I'm do not endorse that kind of response, but i'd say "lol on him" not expecting that kind of reaction. We all know what the Internet is

Also lol at people getting upset about this. It's free speech when it's best; the reason you don't like it is probably because it hits too close to home.

I don't think that the devs at Machinegames bombarded him with ragemails so, what do you mean?
