I like the dual play with the Batmobile, the way you have to employ it for solving puzzles. Combat is not bat, I like it better than driving... but wait to get to the Firefly missions first.

Wow you got shitloads @SotaPoika!
Last night I had a new batch of kids so I was low on food, a natural disaster happened, radroaches attacked diner and then spread, in a minute half dwellers died!!! (Guess they starved.)
I'm trying to see if I can straighten up the situation, but I started a new one and got lucky: got several good weapons (like you plasma pistol, armour piercing rifle) and even a special guy…
The content cannot be displayed because it is no longer available. given his Intelligence = 5 skill, I've immediately put him to reproduction

Well I would say you have a solid base to start, original picture was distorted and looks like you managed to make it tilable.
The kind of processing you do from here depends on the effect you want to achieve, ie: if you need a modern and clean set you are not gonna mess this up with filters too much.
Insurgency's texture has clearly some handpaint details to make tiles less obvious (you can do that sort of thing with a mouse, don't need a tablet to be clear), but on top there's at least another texture overlayed, giving that stained look. Most likely they used a color stain, rust or maybe even the Render>Cloud filter in PS, tweaked in transparency and rendering of that layer.

Well Valve as well has to be pissed, as the refund process on this scale creates such an overhead on their part. Unless it's completely automated... still it must be a pain in the accounting process, since profits are not immediately accounted for, they are technically losing all the money from the PC version this month.
Regarding the game @(HP) and driving in particular, I am surprised of how fluid it is, so much stuff you can break through so really gives the feeling of driving the
TumblerBatmobile. I'd say drifting could be a bit better but maybe is a performance matter (I'm noticing that for me if the game drops, it does on those instances, especially U-turns).More than that I love the way the dual-play of Batman-Batmobile has been implemented to solve Riddles or puzzles in general.
Voice acting and sound effects are stellar. I'm so glad they signed John Noble. And you are gonna have a surprise quite early in the game for another character
I think that in terms of narrative they have nailed it down with a sledgehammer.
I want to find out so bad who the Arkham Knight is, I hope is not gonna be a letdown. -
Well yeah, that's incredible.
On the other hand I appreciate WB that has done something like that, there have been other big fuckups, and companies never bothered.~
Anyway, going back to the actual game... am I the only one playing it? Anyone at least on consoles?
I just got up and into to the Stagg airship.
This stuff is n-power Batman.
I haven't mastered combat yet, with the several new additions, I don't understand if they removed some combos or they will be unlocked. -

Shitty capped at 30fps isn't accepted anywhere unless you're in the console crowd and can't tell. And why the fuck should you have to go into the .ini file to unlock the dumbass cap. "stable average 35fps" lol. Stop it.
It's doing 35 fps on a notebook like I previously stated. And actually after more extensive roaming, I can say it's much faster on a much more widespread area, not only in contained places.
I wonder though if people complaining have all ideal requirements, or they bought it thinking of tweaking down.
Guys I'm not saying it's better or the same as 60fps, of course 60 would be the best thing for any gamer... just that it's better than dropping any other minute.
I've just started playing on a PC again a few months ago after years so I don't know how it compares to similar recent titles... there's a lot of stuff on the screen and it's an hacked up engine so I'm just impressed it's so stable on this machine.
Also I of course agree that core tweaks like FPS can find space on a Settings menu, I'm not a caveman, I'm just saying that PC gamers have fiddled with console commands or settings files since forever, so complaining in relation to this game seems over-complaining to me. I mean if I watch a review from Totalbiscuit I hear praises or complaints whether the game has or hasn't FOV and other amenities like if it has always been a standard setting to tweak... while it's something devs have started putting in the day before yesterday. What annoys me about all this is that PC gamers are feeling elitarian about this stuff, like if a console gamer might not feel dizzy with a certain FOV choice.

How big you got @SotaPoika? I just reached 26 dwellers with the latest newborns. After the (scripted?) beginning, haven't gotten any dweller from outside, have the radio up since yesterday but still no one showed up... I'm not completely sure, do tasks run in background? Or if the game is closed?
Also not sure how the health works... got to a very low 10% of happiness for everyone although they were all 50% healthy... then I noticed the red bars and slowly administering radpack to everyone, happiness was quickly back up. They are asking for party now...
You sure about skilling up by work? Because I have some people in the power stations for days and strength is still the same... built the weight room and buffing up some guys, I'm trying to create a couple of "heroes" since they joined/born with good stats. I really need a few extra guys to put on defense, cos I got some raids and they are always a pain to chase through rooms.
Speaking of defense, when anyone will try the task of sending 3 dwellers out exploring, send people without guns, I have the feeling there's a scripted event that will have you assaulted -- I got raiders with friggin' guns, luckily I still had two rifles in the inventory had stopped the bleeding. But the explorers even if they just had gone out, they can't come back in during a raid!

No it isn't.
Why should it be accepted in any game then? Just because a machine is a console, it's not a free pass on playing smoothly.
Anyway the game can be easily unlocked changing a line of text so BIG DEAL.I've amped up to 60fps myself at lunch time and game hasn't encountered any instability... still runs the same stable average 35fps, and it was noticeably faster, I would say close to 60fps (looked as fast as promo videos), in smaller areas.

Back then, everybody was so angry about installing and connecting to Steam that this issue was largely buried under the flood of hate posts regarding Steam, which, in retrospect, was a brilliant diversion by Gabe.
What I mean is that despite a game breaking bug, reviews never mentioned that, and scores were positive. I understand the rage of people not having it working, but giving 0/10 because of 30fps is ridiculous.
Quote from Becklol non of my games for the past 7 years have been locked at 30fps?? Which games are these? (I know one or two have been locked over the years but the vast majority have run as high as I could get them!)
Basically any console game was, so much that 60fps became a selling point for all those games that weren't impressive visually like COD.
Not sure how it translated to PC but I can tell you I haven't broke any chain because of the game being 30fps.

Even consoles user score is goind downhill, WTF ?

I've read that there are drops on there too.
Quote from duxDisplay MoreHere Sprony, let me write it for you:
Dear publishers,
Fuck your pre order bullshit, go sit on a rubber fist. As for you lot who pre order: fuck you. You continue to get sucked into this pre order fad and then have the audacity to whine like a little bitches when the game is a (big surprise) bug ridden, poorly optimised joke of a title. But that's ok, you got Batman his preorder now big black dick strapon 9000 bonus limited time edition now never forever dlc, so it was all worth it. Go die in a fire.
Yours,
Dux.
Insurance: This is aimed at no one on here. Unless you pre order a lot. Then fuck you. Love dux
Quote from VorontsovWhy do people still preorder games?
Well, sorry, but this is bullshit. There's no difference in preordering and buying at day 1, if a game is bugged it is despite preorders. When a game comes out it should work, end of story, I'm sick of hearing people feeling smart because they've hold on their purchases "knowing" that the game would have problems.
And this when many of you even crowdfund, oh I should laugh if those projects never come out? Or come out in batches, like the almighty Shafer [Blocked Image: http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/analprobe.gif]
Personally I've preordered because I love the Batman Arkham games, and the price was budget even before it was on the shelves, doesn't happen often.
A little aside: there wasn't this sort of backlash when HL2 came out and was hard crashing at the first corridor turn on ATI cards, which at the time was the suggested card to play the game onto(!).
Haters gonna hate, but only when it suits them.~
I've just finished my first session, played 5 hours and the game didn't crash once. Performances? The stress test gives me a minumum of 29 fps with all nVidia effects activated, high detail. Textures can't be put higher than "normal" and I didn't want to push setting shadows on high.
It looks magnificent and it's running smoothly (wtf is all this complaining about 30fps, when for the last 7 years games were locked to that?), only drops I've had are when U-turning with the Batmobile, and I'm playing on a gaming laptop.

Have no idea how it compares to other games, I wouldn't think it can beat Candy on the long run… and what chart we talking about? Most downloads? Because app store bumps up growing titles (our shitty game got in the top 50 above Mirror's Edge and other big titles at the time, not that made us any money anyway).
When it comes for Android my gf is likely to play it, me like HP I'm not into mobile games, I keep downloading and trying a few things but I used to spend more time in the past. Like my toilet time was Cut The Rope time

-
Just started my download; I hope my machine can pump this high!
-
Anyone playing Fallout Shelter? I installed it cos my girlfriend is into The Simpsons (and now Family Guy), so thought she'd like it and i was right.
I tried it myself out of curiosity and I'm a bit ashamed to say that I'm enjoying it tapping and assigning tasks… although I would say the UI could be ugely improved, as checking stats of dwellers is a laborious task, and assigning workplaces as well.
-
Got my serial, but my gf fell asleep on my knees, can't get to the computer and see if I can start downloading XD
-
I would think players always like overpowered spots, unless they are serious.
-
It's looking pretty, but without player reference seems a bit cramped. The abyss is "can't see shit captain" type of area. On steam I only see the minimap
-
It's gonna be a long day lol
-
That's so interesting, thanks for sharing.
Only thing I would say is hostage upper looks too dark, but I'm sure you are planning to change that.

Watched recently
Blackhat -- meh; forgot why I downloaded it until I started watching it... recognised Mann's camera work straight away. He manages to make everything look so realistic
Any Given Sunday -- after ages watched it again, it's still a great movie
Despicable Me -- so sweet
House of Cards S3E10 -- wtf is going on with all this latent sex depravation?
