  • What movie is this?

Finally a movie I know! Glengarry Glen Ross.

    There you go:

@Sprony yeah I know my dislike for Coppola raises eyebrows; but so it happens, of the movies I've seen by him, I've also read the books... and he ruined them for me. Except The Rainmaker, which is a great movie and probably my fav John Grisham story... but there's no movie adapted from a Grisham story that is bad, so I attribute the success of that to Grisham, rather than good script writing.

I haven't read Heart of Darkness, but the movie goes quite far from its setting anyway.

Dracula is anyway the movie that really put me off Coppola, and maybe more visually than anything else. The problem with his adapted movies is not much not respecting the novel... but actually be too close to the original material. He's actually the director that convinced me adaptations need to be adaptations, not 1:1 copies.

Anyway there are lots of older movies from him I haven't seen so I reserve final judgement for the future, but as of now I can only say that out of 6/7 movies I liked 1.

Makes sense… what a shit movie btw.

Stoker must have been rolling in his grave.

Most certainly I was feeling such pain when I watched it, the book left such an impression on my young mind (read it at 12-13).

Coppola is an overrated director for what I'm concerned.

Some kind of samurai movie, we'll just list them all :D I haven't really seen many of this kind, I need to expand my oriental movie knowledge.

    47 Ronins?

Ronin? (There was a flashback explaining the ronin culture from what I remember)

I know it's a fair price, but I haven't really played adventures in the past. And in general take a look at my game list on steam to see what I have to "get rid of" ?

I'm a bit intrigued nowadays, there seem to be some very good around, I like the original artwork that most of the times goes with this kind of game and they should be shorter hence easier to "clear" from your game list. But at the moment I've played only Walking Dead S1 and Michonne's mini-series.

Most of all though, I've collected a little catalog as reference, thinking that it is an easier game to make if you take the plunge to an indie project.

On a newspaper I saw today there was a headline about Nintendo saying to (U.K.) customers that dead pixels are a problem of theirs.

is that true, I mean already experiencing dead pixels?

Pity because looks it was coming along well. Maybe you siege too much time with brushes? Are least looks like there are a lot that make up detail where it should be modular assets.

Definitely with these technologies you need to team up unless you are tackling no more than two projects at a time

Oh wow @Jetsetlemming, saw that available and intrigued me a lot.

Im gonna wait a sale tho, more so because I have several adventures in the queue already (Oxenfree, TellTale stuff and more) and if that's really best than wouldn't be so nice to go back to other games :D

there's also a review from the same writer, who clearly really liked it –with our delight.

I haven't finished Ryse and need to do that at some point. What annoyed me and kept pulling me out of the experience was the silly control layout. I think was very stupid make a game with a very similar fight system to Batman Arkham (I would say a standard nowadays)… and invert the parry. Kept breaking my combos and enraging me.

I dunno, despite they seem to have copied shot-for-shot at least the major set pieces, I'm not digging too much.

Maybe is exactly this copy and pasting that makes me think they didn't use any creativity.

I like some of the stuff in the trailers but Scarlett's voice is a drag. She's clearly wearing a suit (I mean bad makeup cos you see the neck line) where in the anime I think the girl was fully synthetic?

Horizon tries to embrace it's own DNA and stand by itself, I'd actually compare it more to Skyrim than to Far Cry games.

I dunno, I've seen the same "climb the giraffe-thing to unlock an area" kind of thing.

Anyway you would hope that with time passing, developers learn from others' mistakes and improve ;)

Yeah I can see the mind control thing… but that's on one single orc. The others should still be under Sauron's control(?).

Haven't played the first, only watched a friend and playthroughs and I remember you could directly control an orc: that was intuitive and makes sense. I don't remember recruiting underlings of a controlled orc.

Maybe this was already there and/or is explained through some fiction, I dunno, but my head goes back to the movies… and there was nothing like it.

As it is feels artificial to me.

I don't understand, Orcs fighting for a knight?

Really like the visual effects and powers of the ring, these double stealth kills, dragging an enemy from one roof to the one you're standing
