#laterotheparty, huge congrats for getting so far. It's impressive and inspiring that you went all out to make all your art while just until "the other day" you relied on artists.

Surely there are bits of improvements like suggested above, but I can't judge by just looking at this on the phone.

Awesome! Like I said on Twitter I was expecting this to happen, cos you guys deserve it.

Think might be interesting writing up a piece on the road that took you from start to finish, and maybe put in the analysis a comparison of the map after the last polishing pass? Just thinking that not being done by you, could be interesting to read how it feels to pass the map on and see the last changes.

Nice trick! Although I'm pretty sure it's to be considered a glitch that Valve should fix

You make a great game, make it moddable with a proper SDK, sit back and watch it live long past its expected shelf life.

    Case in point, Half-Life itself:

Awesome, ground-breaking single player, coupled with a decent multiplayer component and a myriad of free mods is keeping the game alive til now.

I will disagree as well :P a company cannot count on the modding as a business plan, the need a short term ROI, you can't wait 10 years...

In terms of MP I don't think HL fans really care about DM, focusing on SP only would be better. Yes an MP that leverages some new mechanic could be fun, but wouldn't sell the game in this competitive scenario. At least I don't think. Is not like COD that stands on three staples and there are gamers that buy the new game even for just one mode.

Add to this that the game development scene is rapidly shifting, and we now see many small indie devs producing AAA quality games, further putting the pressure on Valve to deliver.

It might be the reason why they sort of incubated a couple of indie devs in the past months. Like you say they have a huge gap to fill, they might get their way in by publishing and producing smaller productions some time in the future

Looking at these pics with all the tanks, I was just imagining a game mode similar to payload for TF2, where a team would have to stop a tank (or more) by planting sticky charges while if it reaches a certain point it opens fire destroying the enemy team spawn and winning the game :D

would be very Private Ryan ending fight. Spoilers! Duh!

Thanks @Minos, I remember that title, as I watched the standard saga and then the Asgard arc. Can't remember if I've seen anything of Poseidon, maybe just a few episodes as I remember something about a tanker ship being attacked, but not sure.

Definitely haven't seen all of it, I was doing it on a YT channel that got eventually closed (of course).

Need to try if I can see it in original with subs, grew up watching italian dubbed anime and the voice actors were actually very good.

Glad you're enjoying @TheOnlyDoubleF:) I think I already told you how jealous I am cos I noticed how beautiful town and area are. Best of luck with the job and maybe get a Hero camera so you can put together a reel of the adventures you will do around there

    ~

I reached vancouver after a 24h journey flying through Dallas, Seattle and then train up to BC... I was imagining to be more like this in terms of views/vistas :D but was still pretty and worth it. For the very little I could see, I love Seattle, how houses overlook the bay etc
