Doesn't look bad at all. Obviously it won't beat a mouse and keyboard but it looks pretty good.

GTA V out on PC Q1 2014 according to sources.
I'd like to see the Shenmue saga actually finished.
Obviously I'd want Yu Suzuki to finish it off since it's his baby. I think it'd look great with next-gen graphics.
I don't actually like board/tabletop games but I would actually love to 3D print tiles, vehicles, people and buildings for such a use. I think it'd be awesome fun ![]()
3D print that stuff. It'd look awesome ![]()
This server is decent but it's all the base maps with a few different game modes: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/servers/sh…noobs-Fast-1PL/
This one does all the maps and different modes: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/servers/sh…w-sb-gaming-de/
I'm honestly in no way shape or form a 2D artist.
But if I was approaching this, yes, I would use Photoshop and a tablet.
There are loads of tutorials online which should help you out with this kind of thing but one that springs to mind is in the Vertex e-book (Found here, it's free: http://www.artbypapercut.com/downloads/)
Go to page 47 in that e-book and there's a short tutorial about how this guy goes about painting his own textures. It's in a very similar style to the stuff posted above.
Also, try this link (it was posted in FMPONE's thread over in the 3D forum) which has a load of texturing tutorials by the looks of it: http://wiki.polycount.com/TexturingTutorials
Interested to see what comes of this since I like the style too ![]()
Quote from Thriklol sweet. There is one really weird thing about that otherwise amazing skyscraper collapse though: the water doesn't seem to be affected at all. With all the hype about the physics-based water, where's the ripple/waves? Does it happen when you're closer?
I have seen a video where it sends out a decent sized wave when the building collapses but it doesn't seem to happen in-game. Maybe a bug preventing it from being triggered?
Congrats on the release!
Looks crazy as hell and I absolutely suck at these games ![]()
I would but it's not out here yet ![]()
I love flying choppers and I have to say the attack chopper flies like a dream! I'm still mastering when to pull up after a dive so I get to the perfect height I want to be at but banking around buildings, doing a U-turn on the spot and strafing targets feels bloody amazing! I was flying with my bro and then a friend last night and we racked up loads of kills with me as the pilot doing strafe runs on A then flying up to the top of C and circling the top of the tower taking out entire squads.
I really like the limited ammo too. It stopped us just farming people at the top of the tower and forced us to retreat for a little while which in the end meant we'd just go to another point instead of camping meaning we were probably more helpful to our team.
I prefer the map with the tower still standing. That said, knocking down the tower when one team is dominating the top of it can turn around ownership to the other team and stop one team dominating that point.
I'd imagine that version of the steam box to have a very hefty price tag though! But still, it's very nice and shows they're committed to catering to hard-core players as well as the mid-range and mid-low ranges with the "lesser" graphics cards etc.
This is going to be very interesting when they officially launch these things. There will be thousands of launch titles with PC-only titles (Planetside, Civilization, ARMA etc...) which some console owners may never have played. Games will be cheaper than the next-gen console games especially when it comes to multi-platform games. Steam has daily games on offer along with mid-week and weekend offers which will feature heavily discounted games. Potentially, with the right Steam Box, they could have better graphics than the next generation consoles too.
All it comes down to is the price. If priced well AND it is easy to identify what Steam Boxes support which games (Which I'm sure Valve will add to every game listing) then that is a lot of positives to owning a Steam Box instead of a next-gen console to the casual consumer.
I wonder how Microsoft and Sony will react to it when it releases.
I've been playing online today and had some great moments. It's kinda like DayZ where you need to be super careful who you meet cause chances are they're just gonna pull a gun on you and blow you away without warning. I've had some great car chases with people though and some of the deaths have been amazing ![]()
I think once it's fleshed out with more missions and heists and stuff it could potentially be a big time sink!
Amazing. xD
Just got to rank 3 in the beta. Lots of fun but there's a few graphical glitches here and there for me.
First game in a good few years that I can't run at high. Time for an upgrade me thinks!
Been watching a bit of this and it's bringing back a lot of good memories of these games. Dat nostalgia. Dat Vice City radio!
