    Back in the good old 1.6 days (and before, I just use 1.6 because) it was Deagle or nothing. Now it's rek9/5seven armour roll the opposing teams rifles. Running 1 bullet headshots even against head armour while spamming mouse one you say?

    I do miss the old days. :(

    But I agree with what was said above. It would be awesome for someone on the CSGO team to be sort of a "community manager" as well.

  • Oculus Rift

    The controller is a nice addition I guess. It's kind of hard to use a mouse + kb if you've not your eyes available to see your keyboard from time to time. But the headphones... I doubt they're going to be the best quality and the kinds of people buying this right now probably have their own headsets which they already used to using.

    I've tried both the Rift and the Vive and for me the Vive was the better of the two. Not yet tried PS VR but I've heard it's alright for something running on a console!

    Glad to hear there's no serious damage!

    I'm surprised they waited for the other side to accept liability. You had video evidence it wasn't your fault. With my crash they said I didn't have to pay any excess or lose my no claims bonus since it clearly wasn't my fault.

    But hey, glad it's worked out for you and will only end up being a minor inconvenience!

Got my tin bucket on wheels courtesy car this morning. The liability team for my insurance requested the video be put on youtube for ease of access (it's unlisted), and have since emailed me back telling me there's a problem with their computers and they can't access youtube for the video, or imgur for the damage (imgur damage album). Superficially it looks ok, but the wheel took the brunt of that and was enough to shift us on the road, so fingers crossed the axle or something similarly important is in tact.

    I really don't want this to be a write off, I won't find a similar focus with the spec on this one for the price i did before

    I don't know if anything would have come from reporting them anyway. It sucks because you'd have hard evidence with the number plates but I bet the police would say there's insufficient evidence or some crap. I see so much crap on the roads I'd love a way to submit video proof of people being retards behind the wheel to the police.

    He's clearly in the wrong so without the dash cam footage you probably would have been fine but the footage does make everything a lot easier for your insurer and I bet does help speed the process up since the two sides don't need to fight over who's in the wrong.

    Hopefully the damage is just visual and it hasn't bent the axle or something. Hard to say without getting it up on a ramp and looking underneath.

    Did the insurer not sort you out with a like for like car? Mine got me a 6 month old Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 litre automatic. Was like a bloody luxury tank! Then again it was a rental car rather than a courtesy car.

    I went out to see some old friends from Codemasters. They had just been to see Star Wars before meeting us for some drinks. I asked how it was expecting the "Omg awesome!" comments and then one of my mates went on a rant about one pretty major part spoiling it for me!

    Was there any damage at all? Have you spoke to your insurance?

    It clearly wasn't your fault but I'd always be careful about posting these videos online until the claim process is done?

    I think valve's counter strike team need a figurehead like icefrog for dota to push this game in the right direction. 3 days before a huge LAN, seriously, how the fuck did they think this would be ok?

    CS:GO needs a beta client so Valve can release these things there first to be balanced before releasing them to the general player base so they don't fuck up the game and LANs.
