Haha he does! Shenmue always had weird characters like Dou Niu and Chai though so he doesn't seem too weird in the game story.

Apparently there aren't any facial animations in the trailer since they took them out according to Kotaku which is probably my biggest gripe:

So this has got a bit of hate online for the character models and I can see where they are coming from. Shenmue was never great with character models and animations but I guess after 15+ years and with new tech people expect more these days.

I'm still looking forward to it though. I'm sure Yu Suzuki can pull it off.

Aren't the definitive editions just higher res sprites and support for 4K resolutions with multiple zoom levels? I don't think they touch the way the game plays at all.

Loved AOE back in my childhood, AOE3 was a let down though. Hoping it's more like 2.

Spoiler It's ok, the Night King resurrected him!

I feel the show is getting a bit silly now though...

Spoiler Gendry running to the wall (It seemed like they had trekked quite a bit North) and managing to make it unarmed, sending a raven to Dragonstone which is a long way away, even for a bird, then Dany getting the message and flying back up in time to save the day. I feel like this probably would have taken a few days and all she would have found was more corpses walking around. I know they tried to show a night had passed and maybe it was late the next day but it still seems a stretch.

But then, maybe that's what the NK wanted. Maybe he knew Dany was in Westeros with dragons and he wanted one so he waited until he knew they were coming to attack.

Still, was a great episode. Loved the banter between The Hound and Tormund.

Apparently episode 6 leaked? Just a heads up, be careful what you read anywhere from now on.

For the night is dark and full of spoilers.

They need to do Sonic's own version version of Super Mario Maker. I imagine fans would enjoy that.

This does look good. Reminds me of being very young playing Sonic 2 on my Megadrive.

Even the orc/weird guy in game is rubbing his hands together. He knows how much of a killing he's gonna be making.

If all of this is truly available through normal progression in-game then fine, the people who want to unlock it early and skip portions the game for themselves can do so. But I bet you anything the cool stuff is gonna be a massive grind to unlock to encourage you to think "fuck it I'll just buy it". I do miss the days where you just bought a game and got everything. This practice is horrible especially for a full priced single player game.

@Beck just curious, you talking about personal projects or work stuff? I would just be surprised the company would allow to work on their stuff in public for fear of leaks.

Guess depends what kind of trains you travel on, those that I normally get I wouldn't be able to use a mouse even on table seats… but there last few days I was on the hunt for a Surface I was wondering if Hammer works alright with pen input. Otherwise I see train good only for writing or coding; in uni times I've done some Photoshop with the touchpad, but level design seems so impractical that I'd just prefer to have a break after a full day of that, and rather study or read

Yeah, it'd be personal work. Some people can work on internal projects outside the studio but if you said you wanted to work on them on the train I think they'd revoke your access right away! Working from home and stuff can be done under special circumstances, but obviously it's better if people are in the studio.

Yeah I doubt trains are great for modelling or level design but you could do some scripting, coding, writing, maybe even some texturing quite easily I reckon.

Only downside is the trains, left at half six tonight and got hit with delays going home, took me nearly two hours when it usually takes one.

Yeah commuting sucks but when you have an awesome job it's not so bad. My commute is about 1 hour 15 by car each way. Took me nearly 2 hours today though since there was a crash.

I guess the good thing about a train is you can get yourself a laptop and work on something if you can get a table! I've sometimes contemplated moving to the train (2 hours each way) and getting a laptop so I can work on a level or something.

Glad you're enjoying it though! Can you say what you're working on?

It must have been the Eurogamer one. I did skim over it before posting here but it didn't seem to be the one I was looking for. Just gave it a proper read and it did cover most of what I remembered. I thought I saw a video though and it actually showed the loop they created for the train to take. I guess I made it up in my head since it's been a long time!

    Thanks anyway!

Almost finished Uncharted 4 after a long break from it.

Anyway, wanted to ask about Uncharted 2 - specifically the train scene. (Didn't want to bump the 8 year old thread for U2 though!)

I was talking with a colleague about the level in U2 where you're on top of a moving train and I remember reading an article or watching a video about how they made it and wanted to read it again. I remember it discussing how the loop was made for the train to drive around and how they had multiple exits for the following scene? I'm pretty sure it was posted here and that's where I saw it but I couldn't find it in the U2 thread. Anybody got any links to it?

Is the map pack the same maps which were in the original game or new ones?

Surely if they were in the original (even if it was DLC for the original) they should have included it in the remake? Doesn't everyone else normally include everything in remakes?

I do try to play with friends but there are times when none of them are on. We never have a full team of 6 though, mostly 2-4 of us. I think the thing that annoys me the most is that if you get a toxic player they really ruin the chances of winning. Overwatch isn't really like CSGO where 4 or sometimes even less good players can still carry a team to victory. In Overwatch you need all 6 people on board. If you get 5 awesome players you could maybe clinch a victory if you're lucky.

They're soundproof booths. It's to prevent the players and coaches from hearing the commentators and getting any info on the other team. I didn't like them facing either though, its nice when they're side by side so you can see the reactions of both teams I guess.

I was sad VP didn't make it to the final. The crowd went mental anytime VP did anything and that was great. Happy for Gambit though. They really worked hard for it and they deserve it.

I'm quitting Overwatch for a while. Too many toxic players or people who have no clue what they are doing. I just keep having bad games in competitive. I main Mercy and I'm constantly getting told to stay back with my res (which I do anyway, gotta get that sweet res off) but nobody will help me when genji/winston/reaper/phara are on my ass all the time and then they complain when I'm dead and can't res.

I tried playing other classes and because everyone can see my play time on Mercy they just want me to play Mercy and start raging if I don't. Can't win!

Got home from work last night and the missus told me about this. Was quite shocking! My girlfriend works at the arenas in Birmingham and only saw them play a couple of weeks ago and I think they were still in the middle of a tour too.

Really sucks though. Celebrity deaths and stuff don't normally affect me but Linkin Park was one of the bands I used to listen to a lot in my teenage years and it's sad that a part of the band is lost forever now.

Hope all his family and friends are ok. Can't imagine what he was going through to take his own life but as people have said, it's never the right thing to do. Get help if you need it guys <3

It looks like we might be seeing the end of map packs and split online communities. Bethesda doing this and EA getting rid of map DLC in Battlefront and I assume future Battlefields I think are great things. It was always annoying to me that as soon as a new map pack came out for Battlefield the number of players would seemingly half as a lot of people didn't have premium.

Just keep paid DLC to cosmetics and single player stuff and keep the online community strong by not splitting it up between those who pay and those who don't.
