Too bad that Portugal has fallen back to faking fouls again

-
The hospital level is great too. I can now clearly see a castle on the hilltop when I fight through the city. Am I going there later in the game? Because that would be awesome!
I'm actually having quite a bit of fun regardless of the game it's faults.

Quote from Marvin.Star
True to a certain extent, you can't perform perfectly every time; hence the missed shot aimed for the corner and the crossbar shot. But Italy in particular seem to have it down, 3 out of 4 of the Italian shooters effectively tricked Hart.
DID NO ONE ELSE LAUGH AUDIBLY AT PIRLO'S PENALTY KICK??
It was so good!kleinluka: I know, but they were being arrogant about it. They wanted penalties because they practice for it. Just look at how Hart reacted. That's why I said it.
I also agree with Marvin.
Tonight SPAIN - PORTUGAL, I'm so excited

-
I couldn't have said it better myself PogoP!
-
I enjoyed it too. Don't worry. I just expected more

-
I'm with Dux here. There's nothing generic about them. It's because they are vastly different that we remember them so fondly.
-
Justice has been served! I thought the English practiced on their penalties? Didn't look like it.
Lol @ Paul

How many chances does Italy need to score a goal? I'm going crazy here! Italy deserves the win!

In Alien Brett and Parker have a very convincing relationship. It's clear they are there for the money, just two blue collar guys. Dallas is a real leader and Ripley the heroine to be. Ash and Lambert are convincing as well. Aliens is filled with memorable and even legendary characters. Who doesn't remember Hudson, Hicks, Vasquez, Bishop and Burke? So yeah, that has definitely been a strong point in the first two movies.
-
I second that!

You guys really like this trailer? I had high hopes for the movie. I mean, I like Karl Urban, they said it was going to be more like the comics and also, a lot darker. But this, this has C movie written all over it. Let's hope the trailer gives the wrong impression.
You got the entire Dredd universe at your disposal and what are you going to do? Let's focus one building being attacked

All this Wolfenstein talk made me dig up my copy and start over. My previous statements still stand, but I just wanted to see some of those awesome levels again. Yesterday I finished the farm mission. It's the one with the big underground cavern facility. Visually very impressive but the way tension is built up to that awesome climax is truly a piece of excellent game design.

Did no one else notice, especially in the first half, that Spain constantly had free players on the right flank? Most of their attacks came from the right and the french didn't do anything about it. It was boring game, they went like lambs to the slaughter. Spain didn't even have to put in an effort. I think they played on maybe 40% of their potential.
Germany was very sloppy in the first half of the match. A lot of unnecessary loss of possession. Especially Schweinsteiger. Reus was great though! Second half was much better.
Portugal was very impressive. I can't wait to see them against Spain.

PJW did some parts too right? Like I said, it has some impressive levels

The last Wolfenstein had some nice ideas and some impressive levels, but overall it was a mediocre and even a bad game. The AI was horrible. Some of the worst I've seen. Seriously, you could snipe one of two soldiers that were talking to each other and the one that remained wouldn't notice. It was ridiculous. Combine that with constant backtracking, poor voice work, shallow upgrade features, crappy story and there's not much left. They also imported a lot of things from COD. If I remember correctly, the minimap and the grenade indicators were almost identical. I didn't even finish it. I think I was halfway through and just got sick of it.
RTCW is one of the greatest shooters I've ever played. Definitely in my Top 5. Awesome game!
They shouldn't add stuff to shooters simply to make them sound more interesting. Because if you look at the last Wolfenstein and Rage, you got a lot of extra features but most of them were stale or poorly implanted and in the end, it did more harm then good. If you going to add something, do it right.

Yesterday, when I was checking the latest news on Gamer.nl, I spotted a nice article about the possible return of Wolfenstein. Since most of you are not Dutch, here’s a rough translation:
In april the news came out that Human Head Studios had problems with Zenimax, the parent company of publisher Bethesda. They stopped working on Prey 2 to demand a better deal. It was not clear if Prey 2 would be taken over by a different studio working for Bethesda. All of their studios, except for one, are busy. Id Software is working on Rage/Doom, Bethesda Softworks are probably working on Fallout 4 [not confirmed], Tango Studios is working on Project Zwei, Arkane is busy with Dishonored and Splash Damage is working on two different free-to-play titles and a iOS game. There’s only one Bethesda studio left, Machinegames from Sweden.
Zenimax bought the company in 2010. The press release stated that the company was formed out of the original founders of Starbreeze [Escape from Butcher Bay, The Darkness] and that it’s working on a multiplatform title for Bethesda. It’s also stated that they are using the new Id-tech 5 technology. Which means they are working on something for 2,5 years now.
So what are they working on?
Just before the E3 the news came out that the rights to Wolfenstein.com are being transferred from Activision to Zenimax. Timing was perfect. Because of the E3, almost nobody picked this up. A month ago, in honor of its 20th year anniversary, Bethesda released a special version of Wolfenstein 3D which is playable in browsers. A great way to see if there’s still interest. Because the last Wolfenstein game was not well received.
So you got a new studio, that has experience with first person shooters, working with Id-Tech 5 on a unannounced game for a publisher who’s just putting some spotlight back on a legendary franchise. You do the math.

There are dozens of examples in which countries got fucked by bad calls. The blame lies with the UEFA and FIFA and on some part with the referees. But they simply cannot see everything.
I understand PaulH though. England probably got fucked the most. Remember Maradonna?
-
It will be Spain - Germany in the finals. Spain will probably win, but I hope the Germans do. Spain has won enough!

Nice to see some new replies. Here we go:
FrieChamp: It was not only a penalty, it should have been a red card. The fourth or fifth referee was standing there, only a couple of meters away, how could he not have seen that? Croatia deserved at least a draw!
Marvin.Star: Yes, the average age is about 28/29. I don't want this team to compete for the world cup in Brazil. I don't care about the coach, but if it was up to me, I would start from scratch. Focus should be on defense and midfield. We've always had great offensive players, but if they don't get the ball, they won't score.
BaRRaKID: No hate anymore. I can take a loss. Portugal was really good and Ronaldo, even though I still think he's an arrogant asshole, played which such flair I even enjoyed his goals

In general:
England shouldn't have won last night. Ukraine was not only better, they got cheated out of a goal as well. Again the fourth or fifth referee was only a couple of meters away. Why are these guys even there if they can't see these obvious things?
Sweden played great. They can go home with a sense of diginity.
So, what do you guys think? I think Portugal will win from the Chechs. Germany will surely beat Greece. Spain will defeat France and I don't know about England versus Italy. It could go both ways.
