i'm not sure what i should change in this, but i kinda want to spice it up... any suggestions?

The palette seems pretty damned brown and orange. Something about the orangeness of the lighting combined with the brownness of the skybox is not letting it pop. Cool geometry!

Then I realised whats the point, theres no bonus points for making a CTF map and theres no points for how well it plays. So a DM map that looks nice is the obvious route.

What's the point? Maybe to challenge yourself!

skysilcox: That looks sweet, reminds me a lot of the Mirror's Edge pure time trial maps, which is a very good thing in my book! Looks very exposed from a gameplay POV though. I suppose if you want a CTF level of any significant length in just 20 brushes it's hard to prevent that however

Gotcha. Makes sense. I have about 3 or 4 brushes to spend. If I'm creative enough I can solve that issue.

A quick CTF level in UDK. Still WIP. Trying to keep to the theme by keeping the materials as minimal as the geometry.

I'd like to crank out three of these. I'm really tempted to crack open Quake 3 Radiant.

Hey! I've been reading things long time in mapcore and I love the idea of this comp!and about that idea thing.. I had none so I made my map out of cubes.

It's a CTF map for TF2 and I'm still 8 brushes short so I'll try to hit that 20 brush limit

I've been thinking of some abstract TF2 stuff as well. Currently trying to hack strangeness from UDK's bsp editor. I think its time for some non-"tf2" themed TF2 levels if you know what I mean.

Ought to be fun. Haven't done a TF2 and its simply an art pass, which is the fun part for me!

Love the skin for the iPhone. Slight problem though. Any attempt to go to the homepage goes to the DM-ZharPlista.

Thanks Serenius. Got it fixed. I totally forgot that I had that skin enabled!

I like your new layout alot better.

In chrome there is a white space at the bottom if the content doesn't fill up the whole body.

The resume feedback proved invaluable. I had a phone interview today and I got a good reaction from the resume in particular and the site in general. Thanks for taking the time to give it.

Again thanks alot for all the feedback. I had a chance to do an initial revision of the resume and added some more content to the individual projects such as process shots and post-mortem info for some. I'm currently toying with a better way to organize my front page.

Hopefully I'll have some progress on new level projects to share and get feedback on in the coming weeks.

Thank you very much for the replies. I agree that the resume could be misleading. That is, in fact, the way they want it here which is totally against my instincts. If it stands the chance of hurting me or even seems to just be padding I'll certainly change it! I certainly don't want to try to fool anyone or be dishonest.

Thanks Corwin for the layout shot. I'll certainly try to get something like that together this weekend.

Is there a precise reason why sometimes the Stats & Downloads sections are inverted?

Yes. Oversight on my part! Have to get a change on that this weekend.

I'd like to see more informative thumbnails on the front page rather than the letter box sized images you currently have.

You mean bigger ones with bullet point highlights under or by them or something similar?

Again, thanks for taking the time to look my stuff over and for giving feedback! After the insanity of the next couple of days blows by I'll have a chance to get back to work on my portfolio and maybe some level stuff too.

Why is my LinkedIn address a garbled mess?

    Hey!

I'm going through a portfolio update/change and am looking for some harsh criticism.

Hit me as hard as you can. (the work itself, the site, whatever!)

Feedback is appreciated and since I'm in constant flux, maybe I can get some of it incorporated soon enough.

    Thanks in advance.
