    did you watch primer?

Yup! Primer was awesome! Can't say the same for this one unfortunately, maybe there's some hidden message in there but I ain't gonna look it up on some forums. If there's anything at all it's gotta be obscure as fuck A movie, imo, should be able to stand on its own as much as it can, I'm gonna put this one on the pretentious shelf.

Upstream Color. Avoid at all costs, I repeat... Avoid at all costs. I usually don't mind surreal movies that are vague and you have to figure out as you go but this one is just completely WTF. Never go full retard. This is just... Dafuq did I just watch 8|

Missed your post, late to the party!

    Quote from SpronyvanJohnson

Normally I would go back to the gym, have another run at it, tell my friends (who probably already think, here we go again) and so on. Today, I decided that this method obviously doesn't work. Instead of immediately trying to run at full speed I should first start with crawling. So no gym memberships and extreme diets. No, I'm going to start with my eating habits. The first step is dropping all the junk food, chocolate, soda's, etc and try to eat more regularly and healthy.

Good way to start, don't tell anyone! At least for me I've noticed that if I have grand ideas and I share them too early I don't follow through... For some weird reason? Any psychology majors here? I sometimes fall in love with the idea more than the actual execution Also you can notice the "here we go again" or "yeah right" look in people, not a motivational boost so indeed... Baby steps, just drop the food and it'll get you down a whole bunch of kg's!

    Quote from SpronyvanJohnson

It would be cool if people hunt me down if I don't post, offer insights into what I'm eating and any other suggestions. I'm going to do the same with my friends and my wife. So instead of going all out with everything at once I'm relying on my offline and online environment for much needed help in detoxing from all this crap.

This is gonna sound harsh but I mean the best for you: you don't need us to babysit you bro, no excuses! In the end it's your body and it'll have to come from you, you rack disciprine man and it's a good first step that you realize this! Don't listen to that voice in your head, no one has it easy. See that buffed dude in the gym doing his last set of reps? He's sweating it, the voice in his head is saying he already did a good job and doesn't need to lift another one but fuck that, he does. See the dude running fast as shit on the treadmill? He already wanted to get off the treadmill halfway through but instead he ups the pace.

I don't know what gets you motivated but saying FUCK NO to that voice that makes me wanna quit is a huge boost for me, I am in control, I can make things happen. That and progress which is a guarantee if you don't give up.

I'm not saying to not listen to your body but there's a difference between your mental state and feeling physical strain... The difference between a "good" and a "bad" gym day is mostly in between the ears... Don't forget that! You don't have a weight problem, you have a discipline problem. Fix that and it'll improve a lot of things in your life.

I hope that helped some! Do post progress though, I'm sure we can help you out, just saying you can't always rely on others! We can't take the steps for you but you can and we'll help out where we can!

If you really have a snack problem/addiction the number 1 way to fix behaviour like that is to not put yourself into those kind of situations for at least the first week to break the pattern if you have it really tough... For instance if you can't watch a movie without a bag of chips just don't watch TV for a week. Temptation is a bitch so just don't get yourself into those kind of traps! Might sound obvious but often overlooked.

5km in 19:40. Fuck yes, still going strong. I thought 20mins was my limit but maybe I can push it towards 18:30.

Completely bonkers if I told myself this way back in August when I started running again.

New routine since a month ago (added the 10k run):

    Tuesday: Weight lifting

    Thursday: 5km on treadmill

Sunday: 10km in park/stairs/city/whatever to train in more realistic environments for races. I don't focus as much on time and length here, I usually just run for an hour and do a random route as to not fall into a rut.

Trance(2013). Definitely requires a lot of attention but oh boy is it worth it! Haven't been so captivated by a movie in a long time! And the music...!!! I guess there might be plotholes and lots of things might be left for interpretation but imo that's not really the point, the whole experience is just awesome!

Don't watch a trailer, just go for it, can't go wrong with Danny Boyle!

Sucks that shit gets leaked all the time, blows for developers As a dev I really enjoy waiting in anticipation in front of a big TV screen with all your coworkers, seeing the reveal live and all of the audiences reactions is magic... Don't ruin this moment.

Ruining the surprise is one thing, leaking out of date shit is even worse.

I agree with Sprony, I left quite disappointed. Not sure why though, I love First Class but this was just very meh.

There were people laughing all the movie through, seriously wtf just shut the f up? Even clapping at 2 points in the movie. Never going to a premiere again that's for sure Felt like it was an afternoon show with 5 year olds even though it was 10PM.

My gripe with the plot without spoiling anything is that it's way too predictable and simplistic, you only need to watch the first 15 minutes of the movie, the rest is just seeing it unfold exactly the way you imagined it...

The 3D was also really crap, I'm thinking the glasses they use just don't block the right light waves cos if I keep one eye shut it's still double vision! So that left me bitter and unimmersed yet again, big F you to Swedish cinema, worst crap in the universe. They're opening an IMAX in 2015 though so that should be great!

Guys, google "fake it till you make it" and "happiness is a choice", look into that kind of psychology. It obviously won't work if you're in an ongoing painful situation right now but if your life is somewhat stable and you know you shouldn't feel the way you do then stop focusing on the negative... Stop that downwards spiral. I guess we're all different and handle our emotions a bit differently but you don't have to be a slave to your (sometimes nonsensical) feelings, get out of bed, focus on the good shit. Whenever I'm feeling jealous/sad/whatever of that silly crap I just analyze it for a bit and then just throw that away, there's no need to wallow in that stuff for hours/days. You'd be surprised about how much control you have over your state of mind. Realizing this has been a big boost for me in my everyday life. It won't help you over the big life changing stuff but it will get you through the normal grind of life easier.

None of this helps if you have a clinical depression or other kinds of chemical imbalances though... Get treated. And to everyone who's been having it tough lately with legit fucked up shit, hang in there bro's!

Also the person that suggested to cut out pr0n, seriously just do it or cut it back severely, that stuff is toxic to your brain.

That being said, I've had it easy so far without any major setbacks. There's been a couple of deaths but that's just a part of life, I feel like they've only made me realize how much I should appreciate that I'm still alive and should live it while I can. Since last September I've basically said yes whenever someone asked me out to do something random cos there might not be a tomorrow. This has made me a much happier person. I guess I've had some winter blues (lack of sun lawl) and some hurdles of moving abroad and having to leave everything and friends behind which has been tough and lonely at times but gotten over it...

I get through the years by setting longtime goals that are achievable (for instance now running 5km under 20:00). I feel stuff like that is one of my keys to happiness, you just need something to work towards, basically have a future prospect. To me it feels like my success has been a combination of luck/skill and a chain-effect of my mindset. Happiness is contagious, people pick up on it and treat you better and give you more opportunities, which in turn makes you happier and etc, it's a chain-effect... While being negative has the opposite downwards effect. Start today, even if your day is shit, there's got to be something you're enjoying, go for a walk... You're still alive guys, live your life while you still can! Do something new.

Snowpiercer is pretty good! Just don't take it literally like most of your sci-fi movies, it's riddled with symbolism.

I don't really have a substantial list, I was just talking to my art director about sci fi books some while back and he mentioned a couple so I've been going through those while also getting a second opinion through some lists online. But yeah basically I'm planning on going through these: Ender's Game, Neuromancer, Dune, Altered Carbon, Snow Crash. Reading them in that order for some reason A close friend of mine is reading Hyperion but I wasn't interested in that, I forgot for what reason though but maybe it's something for you.

I've read Foundation about 10 years ago as well and from what I remember it was pretty good albeit a bit dated...

A lot of lists share the same books so I doubt you'll find one on there that is really bad, flavor might be a bit personal so in the end it might not become a favorite but I doubt you'd find one in there that really sucks. I mean, most of them had a big significance on popular media so they're worth reading for just that alone!

I pretty much did the same with fantasy books last year but got tired of the genre a bit, hence the switch to sci-fi, I'll probably get back to it though

Maybe I'm just a robot incapable of feelings but I found that a bit too melodramatic and lame personally, didn't do anything at all for me (the same when that happened in the movie). Perhaps I just can't relate to a bunch of bugs... The part where you get to know the game is fake and he's been annihilating the bugs all along, that was very goose-bumpish for me, very awesome!

Just finished Neuromancer, by far the hardest book I've ever read. Not per se as in difficult to understand but just hard in the way it is written, going through it takes a lot of time and attention from the reader (or at least me). Took me almost 3 months cos I could only read 10-20ish pages in a sitting.

Started playing this build, it's crazy good xD I don't have much experience with other classes but it looks downright ridiculous I often find myself laughing manically.

That being said, I'm lvl 70 now and got some paragon lvls and I don't really know how I'm supposed to play the end game Finding materials to craft legendaries takes forever and I can't find decent loot from drops any longer so right now I'm just saving money to craft those uber gems...

Mug, really nice! Already pictures on here so I won't post it, gonna take it to the office on Monday!

T-shirt is 100% cotton, feels nice. The print is a bit "grainy" rather than filling up the letters evenly but it's fairly decent! Gonna be interesting to see how long it lasts in the wash.

I didn't look at the sizes when ordering (was too eager) and just ordered a Medium and it's a bit too big unfortunately. I'm guessing 4cm too wide on the shoulders and in general a bit too long/big everywhere, I guess it's American sizes. I hope the comparison pic helps you people determine what size you want (I'm 1m83). I'll probably just wear it in the weekends like most of my oversized stuff (wearing it right now while playing Diablo xD) Gonna wait to see if Thrik updates the website with slim-fit versions or might order a Small instead. Btw no harm done, I knew the size was gonna be a risk, at least I donated some to the Core
