i'm blocked in amnesia, where you meet agrippa [Blocked Image: https://migrationtest.mapcore.org/public/style_emoticons/default/mapcore_smilies/emot_shakehead.gif]

Going to pretend to be psychic and guess exactly where you're stuck: To the left of Agrippa there's some machinery noise coming through a hatch in the ceiling. Go investigate that.

I just bought Duke3d off Gog (just last week I was determined to not patronize them anymore after the closing stunt >_>). I need to look up the latest in duke source ports. I don't know if eDuke is still The Thing or if there's something better that's come out since.

Oh, I didn't realize it was out yet. Looking at the store myself, it seems the $5 to 50 cents thing applies to stuff that isn't a hat, and that effect listed is a set bonus, not from the hat itself.

Still, jesus, $17.50 for a hat. And you know people would pay that much.

    For a hat.

Also holy crap shame on Valve for having $ = € in their own goddamn store. After looking at it personally my opinion of this whole thing went way down.

According to PC Gamer, items range from $4.99 to $.49 US. I don't know what's going on with that image.

I found it insultingly easy on PC, except for the difficulty getting control changes to stick (they'd show as changed but act as default if you closed the game and relaunched it, ugh), but I didn't play all that far. Got bored wandering the cemetery.

I had a negative bias to microtransactions after my first encounter with them playing Gunbound, where bought items were vastly more powerful than anything accessable normally, and didn't even last forever but had a time limit of one week, one month, or two, depending on how much you spent when you bought it. But just because that system was bullshit doesn't mean they all are. Valve's gives you the unlockable item, no strings attached, forever from a one time purchase. That's fine with me. Especially since I can't imagine these things are too expensive anyway, at most a couple bucks.

Do people who pay for that stuff get gameplay advantages? If so that would be a reason for me to stop playing a game. If its just cosmetical stuff then fine.

No, they just get normally unlockable stuff without having to work for them. It shouldn't bother you any more than people who grinded out achievements on achievement maps/servers, or idled, instead of playing normally to unlock stuff.

I'm playing a bit of Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines again with a Malkavian right now. She's completely batshit insane, haha.

    No, you stop.

I got Shadow Broker, went to start it ingame, and instead saw the cutscene that starts the endgame. Now I have to choose between doing the DLC and letting my crew get turned into goo, rushing off and beating the game and leaving Shadow Broker, Overlord, and like five loyalty quests undone, or reload a save from before I got Legion.

Wait, do you WANT all those twelve year-olds (No, they're not ALL twelve year-olds, but many are rather immature) to come over here? No. Nuh-uh. Never. If only we could filter the nice, intelligent people out of their community and into ours...

I swear, there are people like this in every community. I wonder if there are Youtube commenters out there who look down on the rest of the participating internet with smug disdain, of the opinion that they are far inferior to the great intellectual debates of their own.

I mean, to be clear, the minecraft forums are a hole. But that's no excuse to go throwing stones when you're posting on a glass website :3

im just waiting for someone to recreate the citadel from half life 2. i wish i had time to play this game

The game's only got 128 squares of horizontal space to work in, 64 above and 64 below sea level. Notch said he'd like to expand that later, but right now super big stuff can only exist in shrunken form.

Are you going to cheat on her or is Tali in the party member zone? I tried not to get too caught up in the good/bad rating and just did what I felt like, but still maxed Renegade both times because I'm such an ass. Thanks for mentioning ME2, because it was reminder for me to Vanguard Punch my way through the latest DLC.

I'm playing it by ear. Ashley gave me a ton of shit on Horizon and then in conversation with the secretary afterwards Shepard made it clear he viewed it as a breakup, so...

I'm also playing Vanguard. Very fun, though it exacerbates the amazingly retarded decision to make sprint and cover and use all the same button. I've died so many times by charging someone, emptying my shotgun, and then failing to get to safety, instead taking cover on the side of a bit of wall on the same side as the rest of the enemies, getting shot to pieces, because I tried to sprint around the corner. ME2 overall is a much better game than ME1 but it's missing so, so many of those little PC interface things that the first game had...

I was forced into romance in ME1. I was a goody two shoes Paragon shep and was nice to everyone, and then suddenly after Novaria both Ashley and the blue Mary Sue chick whose name I cannot ever remember ever demanded I choose between them. There was no "Neither of you" option, so instead I chose the sleezy "Can't I have both? Heh" option which got a) A hilarious ass look on Shepard's face as he delivered the line, b) Ashley to storm out of the room and c) Blue to act like I had explicitly chosen her. That turned me off enough to reload my save, and deliberately pick Ashley. Before that scene on Virmire the writers went out of their way to demonstrate that she had turned over a new leaf and was no longer a space racist, so I decided to let her live instead of Kaidan. So now there's a pic of Ashley on my deck in my private room on the new Normandy.

I started Mass Effect 2 two days ago. I'm already like 13 hours in, and don't feel like I've progressed very far into it at all, mostly because I still don't have Tali in my party, and I want Tali in my party. I've got my Krogan party member back already. Currently using Kasumi as my other party member as she's pretty damn useful in a fight.

If you see bedrock you're too deep, the curve of diamond spawning rate actually goes down within like ~12 blocks of the bottom layer as bedrock and lava replace it.

I created a new world today, and it's like a paradise. Stunning geometry, lots of caves, lots of cliffs, lots of peaks, lots of beaches. I even found Jesus.
