The environments are great, I gotta say, but that's all it has for it. All I see is a dumbing down of Deadly Shadows which was already a dumbing down of the earlier titles.

Absolutely cannot wait. I've been playing Gothic 2 lately (one of the very best RPGs I have ever played, easily) and if TW3 has a similar open-world approach without level scaling then it has the potential to become one of my all-time favorites.

Second episode was fucking awesome, jeez. Love that esoteric stuff. That bird scene was fantastic. Also, love the nod to Ivan's Childhood with the way the church has collapsed.

Really different from the original artstyle, but it's absolutely killer!

Games:
1 - Metro: Last Light -- hands down the best game this year, no competition.
2 - Shadow Warrior -- great reboot that doesn't fall into the usual traps, but can get boring quickly.
3 - Papers, Please -- cool concept and great, cold art direction.
Music:
1 - LowCityRain - LowCityRain -- great post-punk album by the mastermind behind Lantlôs.
2 - Year of No Light - Tocsin -- these guys strike again with some absolutely heavy drone/sludge doom.
3 - Chvrches - The Bones of What You Believe -- contagious synth-pop with really fucking catchy stuff, they're awesome live too!
Movies:
1 - Only God Forgives -- no words for that, but I can understand people who think it's abysmal.
2 - Django Unchained -- well, that's a Tarantino movie. Nothing beats Death Proof but it's good, and Di Caprio is great.

The only good things were the trailers for The Witcher 3: Geralt Grows A Beard and No Man's Sky. The rest was utter garbage. This show is a crime against humanity.

I'm pretty sure there is a combat rebalance mod available, but to be honest I found it rather simple, much simpler than The Witcher's actually. Still I preferred the kind of rhythm game in The Witcher, even if combat in The Witcher 2 is bloody awesome too, and particularly brutal.
