Didn't notice no one had posted the teaser here
, i just presumed it being a Deus Ex 3 thread someone had included it.

Heres a few stills i took from the part with the flickering images to see if there were any clues to the story of the game. A large number were old paintings of autopsy's and of angels as well as X-rays and anatomical drawings/ mathematical drawings. But mixed in there are a few images which seem made specifically for the trailer, from the things contained i have a general feeling it's going to be mainly about discrimination between people with augmentation and standard people.

Seriously, wonderful sight. Every kind of abandoned building you could ever imagine, some pics from me there too
.
The carts could become frustrating, have to see how they work in testing. If you included points where you can dodge them it would make it better. You want the player to feel it was his fault he got run over, not that you're an evil mapper
.
Im going to say it's a "lava lamp." They look good, i particularly like the peanuts and harmonica too.
Yeah, at the moment it gives a frosty glowy look, which looked fine on the snow map. But it doesn't fit as well with that theme imo.
Yeah, that's looking awesome.
Yeah, i don't like this layout compared to the last. For one the news is Displayed in such a useless way, no mod name, no game name, and no easy to see pics. You ahve to click to get to a position to see if it's even worth reading.
I think the texture look about the right level. Some more orange in the light to warm it up would look good, as would the same addition of some orange through colour correction.
Looks awesome though.
You basically do normal maps how i do. Though i skip crazybump as it slows me down too much and i see very little advantage over doing it all in photoshop.
Anyway, i really like your textures. Nice work.
360 + DS
Spend pretty much all my time on my PC though, definitely my preferred gaming platform.
That truck is just pure awesome. Lovely work.
The second 2 look much better than the first in my opinion. The first is too flat and open, the buildings themselves look quite nice, but the surrounding scenery needs some work.
I love the fourth and Second to last ones.
Yeah, that looks much better than the night setting in my opinion. Although the brightness of the trees looked better at night, in the light i don't think they should be quite as strong.
So, i understand it now. I was losing it after setting the duplicated base to pin light, i didn't realise it was then that layer you were meant to play with in the hue saturation, i don't know if you can make that clearer in your tutorial
.
Anyway, your method's cool but it can be frustrating getting the coverage you want with the paintbucket.
This is my method ive been using for a while to get a roughly similar effect. It only requires one layer though. Very quick tutorial, you can get it looking better if you play with it more.
I like that effect, but i cant follow the tutorial and end up with anything looking even remotely similar. My paint takes on the colour of the base layer once i set the copy to pin light, and not matter how much i play i cant get it back to a white paint or anything else. I think I'm going wrong at the stage with the Pin Light layer.
Moved this post to the relevant thread, didn't see it when i posted this.
I love that diving bell one.
That was brilliant, and as always i felt it was spot on.
