I'm pretty sure I've read a comic book once that had the same name and sounded similar. Is that inspired from that by any chance?

I love the look of the rocks! It reminds me of that underground ruins level from Resident Evil 5. Can't really say about the gameplay, but great work on the visuals!

I love the screen underground with the tubes in front, really great atmosphere in there man! The first indoors one is very nicely detailed too, great job. The one that bugs me is the waterfall shot: the blue particles on one side look out of place, I believe a color closer to the rest of the waterfall (whiter/brighter) would make it blend together better. Cool stuff as usual!

EDIT: oh, and on that indoors shot, I believe the two stools are a bit bright. I know they're like that in the game but since they're in the shade, you may want to duplicate the material and slightly darken it, just so they don't pop out compared to the immediate surroundings. Nitpicking really

Alright, but it's annoying in coop cause everytime the second player gets a tinsy bit away from 1st player, he vanishes and teleports back closer, loosing everything you're carrying in the process. Makes for some frustrating play on the second player especially with all the currents or winds or whatever that take you far away fast. Love the plants growing mechanic though, it's cute.

There's a typo: Metal Slug Deathmatch instead of Deatmatch on both the homepage & the project page. I like the layout & style, good luck about that internship!

I agree with Dux about placing the projects on the first page.

I'd also preload the alt images of each project because right now you have to let your mouse hover on it for 1 to 2 seconds to let the picture load. You can simply create an invisible div somewhere on the page to force the browser to preload these pictures so it's instant. (

... somewhere at the bottom of the page will do the trick.)I notice you've got a linkedin profile but that it's only accessible from the blog. You should at least place the Linkedin icon on all pages, and also add a link or icon to your mail address (right now it's only text). Put that instead of "Constructive criticism is welcome" (I know, I'm guessing this is temporary while you show your portfolio around, but just saying) on all pages.

Otherwise, it looks pretty solid to me, and the content is definitely interesting. Good work!

I find the mountains on the left of the screen a tad bright considering that there isn't sunlight coming from behind them. Otherwise, looks awesome!

Yeah, I watched the two first Tim Burton's and they were quite laughable, and the third one I stopped after a few minutes. Didn't like Batman Begins but the Dark Knight was cool thanks to the Joker. Batman is nothing without that guy!

I don't see what the big deal is. If you have a girlfriend you usually spend a lot of time with her. It's no different than saying "I went to the store with chris" or "I met up with the guys at the party."Believing that having a girlfriend is some kind of exceptional state of being says more about your warped perception of life than it does about someone who is just making conversation.

    Post of the week!

It sucks to sound like an ass anytime you mention your girlfriend in casual conversation, and it's actually worse online. That should be the other way around!

It's true though, it's faster to download a source game when you've already got one installed, like TF2 or L4D. I understand your point Campaignjunkie, even though you might be biased by modding HL2 yourself (that can influence the games your steam friends own if you met these guys through the HL2 community for instance).

Anyway, I've created this project on the CryEngine and its getting a decent amount of downloads and positive feedback. Not mind-blowing, but enough to be worth the release, and that's what matters

[Blocked Image: http://images.techtree.com/ttimages/story/109209_jade-empire-cover.jpg]Bought it really cheap months ago but never got around to playing it. Been playing all weekend. What an amazing game. Just wish there was less conversation but the universe is so well crafted that it's ok. Bioware really know their shit!

Granted about Crysis, but I'm not convinced that many people have HL2 Ep2 installed either. I would think that SP games tend to get uninstalled right after being completed. I agree however that Source would have suited this particular project quite nicely, I was a tad limited by the CryEngine when it came to designing puzzles.

Would be cool if there was a way to know how many people have which game installed on Steam though...

*crosses fingers, hoping that someone will call me a noob and tell me there's such a thing*

Anyway, the reason I moved to Crysis in the first place was that it wouldn't look obsolete for a good while so I could spend time creating custom content without the fear of being left being by the tech. 5 years on good ol' Max Payne 2 was enough, and HL2 was already quite old when I considered the engine to mod next.

There's a lot of little glitches and bugs that have been reported so I'll probably release an update pretty soon too.

Dude. Sorry for not testing. I'm still in my personal kind of crunch. Anyway: Great release once more. Now get your Portfolio wrapped up and come here! By now you're like the only capable Mod-LD in the whole Cry Community I guess

    That's the plan man!

Don't worry about it too, I completely understand, you must be quite busy with that new crycore job! Congrats btw

Hehe, I believe that's actually one of the smoothest areas of the level, cause it's circled by cliffs I was able to hide almost everything else in the level while you're in there

    Thanks for the comments guys!
