i don't know, i don't usually watch trailers at all. i was lured into watching this one in hopes of DE:HR-esque music. alas, i am now not only cringing, but also severely disappoint.
urgh the trailer is shot at too high fps or something, it makes it look weird. plus i mean for something like this, why not use properly rendered cgi instead of in-game shots?

^ i second that post. i played a thief up to level 14 (only had time to play for 1 day), and there were many things that really appealed to me in pve, even though i am the person least interested in pve in general. the variety and difference in events and the fact you can leave and join as you see fit makes it so much less frustrating than most other mmos. the fact that they also took pointers from dark age of camelot/warhammer online in terms of events was refreshing.
also the way that skills combo (if there's a burning field, shooting arrows or bullets through it means they will catch fire and deal additional damage) just makes the game super awesome. i'm well impressed with how the game is designed, although it still needs a bit of balance. you can just meet up with random people by being in the same area with them, completely without the use of a party and hunt together. contrary to other mmos, this will actually give you bonus xp rather than take xp away from you.
they said there will be a beta weekend every month from now on until release, which means i'll probably be doing pvp the next event, and i'm really looking forward to what they have in store.
shouldn't we make a server a designated mapcore server? just for future beta events

watched the avengers, positively surprised (i don't really go to movies, so take that for what it's worth). good action combined with well crafted comedy lines (think decent stand-up material) and an ok story makes for a really interesting movie. i don't recommend the 3D though, and i'm still wondering why people invented that shit, it's terribly annoying and causes headaches.
processing is a library in java that will get you on your feet, after that you can switch to xna/c# (especially since java/c# share almost all syntax)
downloading gw2 beta, taking forever basically. i don't understand why they didn't just put a beta version of the client on a cd that could ship with the prepurchase cover anyway..
really interesting news, here's to hoping it goes well with the online stuff. it would be awesome to have a persistent stalkerish world spanning the entire globe
