this game does so many things right, it's basically what the first metro should have been in terms of usability. could be less linear, but hey i guess i cant ask for a new stalker set in the metros of moscow

i wasn't referring to developers, just people in general.

i watched defiance. i guess it's like game of thrones set in the future with different races. seems interesting at least from the environments, which are super cool. then again drama in and of itself hasnt been done right since the x-files.

Can't hear you over the sound of my combat fatigue

I'd rather like to see interviews from Mossad deserters, but there probably aren't any alive. Funny how they don't speak about the morality about taking over other people's land.

I agree with Warren on his points, there are a lot of the same FPSes going around, and it's sort of painful to watch. I'm not saying every new game should be the newest indie sensation with mechanics so hip your beard grows white within seconds, but I mean, we could have a small steady progression, or at least a different take on what Wolfenstein is. But then again, Wolfenstein has almost no narrative and seems solely based on world war II, give or take war crimes.
I am still of the opinion that the industry has a long way to go, but it is an industry, and publishers have to make money... apparently. And I doubt whatever talent is on the game wants to not do it either, since it's an industry that by all standard, still holds a tremendous amount of status and elitism, because it's FUN to WORK in the GAMES INDUSTRY.
EDIT:
LOL @ people being shallow thinking he was bitter about his own games being "failures". Also lol at people getting upset about this. It's free speech when it's best; the reason you don't like it is probably because it hits too close to home.

rose tinted goggles, warby

i looked into it, and apparently it also had to do with a botched sex change operation among other things (not counting the life saving operation), which would explain the missing support from family. i guess this individual pushed itself into a corner.

so uh, what was the rationale for the suicide? i was lead to believe that there would be intrigue here, yet there seems to be nothing of the sort.

dude HP your gym is amazing and it's such a short distance away, i'd use that every day if i were you. but yeah, i exercise daily, mostly at home with dumbbells. i try to do as much core as possible.
EDIT: also, i do a steady diet to go with the exercising. i started this about 9 months ago, the results have been pretty amazing so far, and this is a diet i'd easily be able to continue for the rest of my life.
also stuff like swimming for like 30 mins every day will do wonders. but you have to actually do it

shiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeet i need to watch it

yea it's that plus it just seems trite now. it's not even an interesting destruction they made for it, it's just physical force. yawn.

hopefully the pacing problems have been fixed...

Pentium I 133 Mhz, loadtimes took forever. Software 640x480, later upgraded with a voodoo 2 to openGL 800x600. good times

i can definitely see where you are coming from with the roadside picnic vibes. and i also agree on the building destruction. and what they've gotten out of unity from the looks of the screens and teaser looks pretty damn amazing. i'm sure this will be going places.
i kind of just want to see more, but then i'm suffering some heavy stalker withdrawal...

i always got this confused for zone of the enders. i read up on it, seems interesting enough... they'll probably make more if it's a success...

i don't think i've ever had the hl1 vs hl2 discussion. i'd probably pick hl1 though. i loved certain parts of hl1 beyond anything, like questionable ethics and surface tension. PLUS, it's set in a desert!!! which is awesome because deserts are cool.
that doesn't mean that hl2 isn't good, however, but many parts are less memorable and probably more bland. that being said, ravenholm was amazing, as were some of the tunnel sections with the buggy. something that would have been interesting would be having a vehicle inside of the city.
