It's back and it's gone indie on the Unity engine!

Lacking the charm that the Source version had so far, but I'm sure it'll polish up more as it goes on, I'm just glad it's back!

I got some Roadside Picnic vibes from the Teaser

Really liked the trailer up until the point where they showed the glowing blob destroy parts of the building. It might be just me, but feels like they just ruined what could have possibly been a great mystery in their game.

Other than that, it's funny how just seeing the words "RainDrop" get me excited again. Their use of Unity isn't bad either

i can definitely see where you are coming from with the roadside picnic vibes. and i also agree on the building destruction. and what they've gotten out of unity from the looks of the screens and teaser looks pretty damn amazing. i'm sure this will be going places.

i kind of just want to see more, but then i'm suffering some heavy stalker withdrawal... ;(

Ah yes, the mystery of the blue glow globe has finally been solved! Oh no wait, it hasn't. Vivi, whatchu talkin about?!

I think I know what you meant though, it's a bit of a weird concept. It's almost like one of the modellers just discovered destruction physics.

Seriously though, that trailer was badass. I loved the music! Very creepy and foreboding.

I didn't know about this project, and frankly i think the transition to Unity is really for the best, Source-powered games aren't this rich, visually.

    Looks good!

Yeah that orb thing is a bit out of place, I thought the whole storyline revolved around an old Soviet outpost that hasn't been touched since the 1950's... maybe they changed it or something.

Think Cloverfield, if they showed off the monster in the trailer, there would be no suspense/ surprise/ or tension buildup. *slaps pogo backhand style*

yea it's that plus it just seems trite now. it's not even an interesting destruction they made for it, it's just physical force. yawn.

Looks great. They're not doing themselves any favours with that name though, I searched Google for 'raindrop' and 'raindrop game' and couldn't find them anywhere... lol.

somehow i get the impression this won't end up being much of a "game"

Technically it's quite an achievement considering it is built with the Unity engine. Kind of motivates me to do shit with it as well.

meh, i think the exploration genre is really lacking at the moment, so as long as it;s not a bad game i won't mind

Yep I love games where you're left to explore and do whatever you like.

    This looks really interesting!

not to be a negative nancy i thought the dialogue had the potential to really be cheesy, but the polish kind of accent or whatever worked for me, it came across as well acted somehow! (might be a bit heavy on the Eff Bomb tho)
