a week after the first mapwar, i decided to remake my own map in source. this is the result. roughly 20 hours spent on fleshing the entire thing out, and perhaps another 20 on polishing and fine tuning (compile times included). thanks to erratic and deathy for testing/feedback. up to 10 players at at time; 4-8 recommended.

there was absolutely nothing wrong with the theme.

it does seem like we need longer than the time we had to make a proper source map. i was thinking about a 24 hour or 7 day mapwar... thoughts?

just a heads up that the next mapwar is tomorrow/saturday, not sunday.

Well, it's because the 360 d-pad is terrible and you don't really use it for shooters. You could always pick up the fighting stick, I guess.

i'm actually in the same situation, and i've been looking at the sony vaio z. it's 13.1", and comes with a 256mb 9300m gs card. with the standard battery you get 5-6 hours. for me it's a choice between this one and the dell studio xps 1340 (13.3", geforce 9500m instead of 9300m, same ram but apparently less battery).

yeah i was thinking about putting in some of those tokens for next time. so each person gets multiple votes, each for every category. kinda like oscars, but for mapwars. i call them mapscars. like a scar you would get from fighting in a war. a mapwar.
