I must say, I really like Koko's. Totally captures that underwater feeling — at least I think it's meant to be underwater.

I gotta agree, the symmetrical layout broke the map a little tho since you were always just running around chasing eachother in a circle...

Warby's map didnt capture the underwater feeling to the same degree, because he was struggling with LEAK LEAK LEAKs, but I think the perfect use of textures, round doors and pipes made his a winner.

Yeah it was really fun I had fun with all entries

Peris map had the best layout, while kokos looked the best and warbys was the best overall.

Cant wait for the next one!

great fun! mapping was great, playtesting was even funnier. best situation was the mass-gibbing that crashed the server im still impressed by the work warby and koko pulled off and i liked minos and peris ones. best idea was skjalg though. pretty weird at start but the solution was simply striking.

Haha thanks, I wish I had more time to work in some more top-down approaches so it wasnt just the house

The link to my map in the hall of fame is wrong actually

You're linking twice to your map.

Not that I care much for the crap I created yesterday..

It was a fun evening though.. very interested to do another one. =)

i would have loved to give 4 vote "tokens" in 4 categories than they would have went to the following people in the following categorys:

    -best graphics: koko

    -best layout: pericoloso (runnerup minotauro)

    -best theme: Campaignjunkie (runnerup skjalg)

-most fun during playsession: erratic ( because scale was most appropriate for 10+ players )

yeah i was thinking about putting in some of those tokens for next time. so each person gets multiple votes, each for every category. kinda like oscars, but for mapwars. i call them mapscars. like a scar you would get from fighting in a war. a mapwar.

Sooooo next week is going to be Source, right?

(I don't think I can suffer through another GoldSrc session with not being able to select things in my 3D view)

I suggest that the competition should be on sunday like last time.. maybe a bit earlier (20:00 CET) because the mapping part is a bit longer now.

oh and sentura get a better theme next time.
