    Bingo.

For fuck's sake Sentura, think a little bit. Seriously though, the monasteries of Meteora are a pretty nice sight.

so you're saying they don't have contact with the outside world? i'm asking how they get up and or down from there, not who they are.

i'm not. but i've been to russia, and almost deliberately went around going to st. petersburg because i felt moscow would show me all that st. petersburg would have anyway. with the exception of ayn rand's birthplace, but i bet that is as easy to find as an unmarked grave.

yea i don't get why countries aren't adopting more international languages. on the other hand, you see mcdonalds everywhere. it's ok if you mess with the health of our people, BUT ILL BE DAMNED IF YOU CAN TAKE OUR LANGUAGE

yeah the first time i saw this dragon slayer style multiple choice thing on youtube was with a street figther clone definitely works great for this marketing campaign ( although i did fail my mission for taking the scenic route D: )

haha i did the same thing.

but i don't know if multiple choice gives anything else but having gameplay your way. i mean, if the narrative has to be continuous, you'd need choke points where all paths meet anyway. i'd like to see a game where failing is actually an option (like it was in dune 2), and where it would bring about a different narrative. i see mass effect 2 may be doing something similar, but i'm not sure it'll be what i mean.

Do people in Germany read translated works of Shakespeare? To me that sounds as ridiculous as translating Goethe sounds to you. But then in that same respect the Italians probably think we're wasting our time reading a translated version of Dante's Inferno.

suddenly, it becomes clear why the bible is so controversial

well honestly any language you pick regardless of vocabulary is at best going to be an emulation of thought through a semantic. if you'd manage to find or create one that can translate semantics perfectly, i would personally crown you are the ruler of the entire known universe.

i mostly read everything in english (quote what peris said about english having a large vocabulary). i feel confined when limited to either of the other languages i know, and will usually mix english into them when i'm lacking a word. i've been speaking english daily for the past 7 years in gradually accumulating manner. i'm actually beginning to forget how to say things in either of my native languages due to this.

i think making people understand what i mean will be my biggest problem...

but yeah, what i meant was that the effect of the movie itself is interesting. how can it be that it has affected people in such way? why, if at all, should we be concerned regarding ethics? going even further, and perhaps even more unethical, one could ask whether the effect could be replicated - and that's where the debate really starts. if you can subject people to different feelings through media, where does the line draw between simple occurrences and brainwashing?

i would argue there is a difference between people who have been incarnated star wars/trek fans and people who watched avatar, that has had no previous connection to any sci fi movie ever. regardless, it is interesting whether or not you could actually bend this effect. the reason i brought it up also was that i might be writing my thesis paper about something similar.
