i deliberately didn't take viking history as i think it's too different from scandinavian folklore. the folklore deals with creatures and the supernatural (no offense to any internet trolls), whereas vikings were an actual part of history.

the game was dark age of camelot, the realm midgard and lore pretty damn accurate. it also portrayed good amounts of celtic mythology/folklore, which is very interesting.

and rune kicked ass, but that dwarven sword with the lightning power was so op, i remember going on rampages with it basically killing entire rooms of people by swinging the sword around in the air

i actually think that's a brilliant idea csyver. i can only think of one game that did scandinavian folklore and it owned. there would need to be more creatures than the ones you mentioned, but it could easily be pulled off, as there a pretty large pool of creature to take from.

i'm also kinda sad that there hasn't been anything about finnish folklore/mythology. vainamonen is one of the coolest mofos in mythology!

i have no doubts that this will be a pretty good game, probably the game i am looking forward to the most right now.

a good pirates of the dark water game with rpg elements, stunning vistas and all. the dark water universe is really interesting and offers a lot of different scapes, so it'd probably be kinda like mass effect or the witcher, except better. probably the first thing i would do.

alternatively i would also like to create a high skillcap fps game that would incorporate upgrades/modifications and weapons to create a sort of custom class system.

i love it when people start comparing new releases to games they played when they were younger. no game is ever going to be as good because you're too goddamn nostalgic about it. the same game wasn't even as good as you think it was, it's just because you only remember all the good moments, and very little of the frustration.

Who in this industry has more money to burn than Zynga? Don't forget that Steam already has an integrated web browser... Anyway, I really hope I'm just being paranoid and nothing of this ever happens.
