No one really knows what's going on. This is the mid-season finale though, so there's still 7 more episodes starting in October to finish the 15th season. Now that they're pretty much done with their Book of Mormon musical, they may be able to focus on South Park again, assuming they're not sick of doing it and not starting some other project.

Family Guy has generally been better lately imho, but it's still awful. South Park died a few seasons ago...
