Yus, great decision to port the mall to L4D.
I think theres also a Contest running at l4dmods.com where you design a shop for the map and the winners get in the masterpiece of darth brush.

actually - it's all ingame assets, just extra animations and unlimited source-version which would certainly not run on any machine atm
It doesn't have to run on anything realtime- Source recorder renders individual frames to match a framerate non-realtime. They can set up the scene, script the events, and then have everything play out in engine and output it as a billion .tga files, encode them into a video, and throw it on steam.
You can do all of this with the public version of steam. Only tool Valve's holding back is their cinematic physics thing- what they used on the fire escape at the end. That's because it's a commercial licensed thing from some third party, and they aren't allowed to distribute it. -
Nice refreshing setting in ins (not dusty at all
).Like Punky already mentioned.. It needs a bit more detail here and there.
-
Yea, played it yesterday. I like it very much (especially on the Insurgent-side).
Nice work!

Hm.. that would be the first time for me actually playing something with german syncro! (except some unavoidable console games)

Dr. House syncro rocks0rz!

The ExplorerReckless Sociable Serious Veteran (RSSV)
You are the Explorer, player of many games and master of none. You are a hardcore gamer, yet you play casually. Gaming is a hobby, but it is also a passion. Many won't understand all this, but you do, and you're happy with that. Like all adventurers, you always look for the next game to play through and talk about with people. You derive your pleasure from the experience of playing great games - the best seller and top rated sections always seem the most attractive.
While you tend to gravitate towards games that are more social in nature, you know well enough that even the most competitive games can also provide a social atmosphere given the right people - people like you. While you take a serious interest in gaming and play somewhat seriously, you are highly likely to have the most fun with those that play more for fun.
Not exactly but mostly right.

The blue lamps in the 3rd pic look a bit out of place and don't seem to affect their environments.
Otherwise looks a tad better now.

Quote from Erratic
Though there are a few strange areas that play with your expectations a bit, like those shifting walls in the 3rd or 4th chamber that aren't actually used in solving the puzzle, but are presented as if they are.

You should have listened to the Aperture Science Guy, he mentioned that the wall he toggled was actually senseless.

-
Perhaps I'm the only one really liking this (hardcore chambers, frustrating surprises, difficult puzzles).

I played it twice (to the end) and well, actually I'm not playing Portal like every week or so but still It wasn't really hard (It took some time to get through though (6h)). I just think that most of the players (who now complain) did not read that this is meant for people who want something really hard challenging.
-
Looks promising.. I'm eager to play them.

I'm also working on a map for this competition.. so ye, some people are still interested in the competition.
