I was also thinking of Titanfall 2, another game that aparently didn't perform very well. The campaign is fucking amazing.

I honestly enjoyed the first one more, probably because it had a thiccer atmosphere, but also better readability? I can't quite put my finger on it, but D2 seems cluttered more often than not. There's too many objects everywhere and notes and bone charms. I found myself a few times just mindlessly tapping the key to pick up everything, following a trail of details only to find myself in a different part of the level. Playing Death of the Outsider now feels a bit better. Is it just me?

Yeah, I agree. And the fact that Death of the Outsider gets this better is proof they came to the same realization. I have a feeling that in making a sequel, they tried to plus everything across the board, and they got carried away. Some things are better if you don't overdo them.

I also preferred the first dishonored, one of the best games I've ever played. The sequel feels almost like a step forward in some directions, and a step back in others. I feel like having the choice of two diferent playable characters was not needed at all, I'd rather have them stick with one and polish it to perfection. A small percentage of people finish video games, and an even smaller percentage plays them again, so what was the point of that?

D2 environment art lost some of the simple stylization of the first, but they really nailed Karnaca. The first game you play in alternative universe of London and this one feels like southern Italy. Beautiful architecture, and amazing set pieces. The level where you have this device where you alternate between alternative realities is really memorable, along with the final mission in the villain's villa.

Like he vanished into the shadows in real life?

People complain there's no good SP games, then an amazing one comes out, and they say to themselves: "I'll play it later... lemme hop on dust2 match for the billionth time real quick."

Then the sales aren't as good as they could be. It's a shame we won't see any new dishonored game anytime soon.

A new demo for the upcoming System Shock[/i] remake has been released, with around an house worth of gameplay as you fight mutants and robots aboard a space station that’s been taken over by a self-aware AI.

Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer a year ago, the System Shock[/i] remake is a from the ground-up remake of the 1994 classic cyberpunk horror adventure that is a spiritual precursor to the Deus Ex[/i] and Bioshock[/i] games. In the game you take on the role of a hacker who awakens from a six month healing coma following surgery, but when you wake up you find the space station to be filled with dead bodies, mutants and hostile robots. The station is now ruled by an AI called SHODAN, and it doesn’t take kindly to your intrusion!

The previous demo build of the System Shock[/i] remake was very impressive, but this build is a much more polished experience, with superior audio design and better lighting effects, re-recorded dialogue and a lot more audio-logs. It isn’t perfect (it’s prone to crashing and there are no auto-saves), but it’s shaping up very nicely. It manages to take the classic 26 year old gameplay and update it for the modern era, while still maintaining the vibe of the original. Highly recommended.

90 bucks is a stretch, but it does look compelling. My little brother isn't even 20 yet and he just had to go to the doctor this week with tendinitis. People care more about sci-fi designs and neon lights on their hardware, than good ergonomics.

How's the battery like? Not a fan of wireless input devices, there's more lag and short battery life.

If you're into Silent Hill, you'll like this for sure. The art is pretty well done.

I only worked on D3 Reaper of Souls @dux, game seems really fun! I always loved D3, but D2 is pretty special for reasons I don't need to go into here on mapcore! :D

    Very looking forward to this.

Love the soft pastels and great touches on the bloom. You nailed the architecture too, amazing work.

The interior lighting is probably still temp but it feels a tad bright, I wonder what it would look like if you darkened and saturated the lighting a little bit, it could make it look more cozy.

Really loving this, killing it congrats.

I've used a the Logitech MX518 for more than a decade. Went through a few of them, the design just fit my palm perfect, I dread having to use anything else, specially those shitty razer designs, eww. The Deathadder is one of the worst mouse I've ever held. The MX518 and similar designs, are designed for the palm grip where you rest your entire hand on the mouse, most FPS players for one reason or another use a claw grip, except me, I like to rest my palm and the bulgy of the MX518/G400s design helps filling it up, it also helps avoid Carpal tunnel syndrome, which I fortunately never suffered from. Anyway, for a while there these were discontinued, so I had to get it's successor the G400S, which is exactly the same shape.

The MX518 was rereleased in 2019, so it's back on the market, I might get it again if my G400s breaks (been going strong since 2013, these things are really well made)
