Source is a love/hate engine for most people. I've been working with it for almost like ten years now. Let's call it 8. It's definitely been on and off, but still that's a long time.
I would just say try to enjoy it, if you sit there getting angry at yourself for not making better use of five days, you will be miserable. Try to go at it in at least somewhat of a happy, creative mindset, without thinking overly about your available time.

So I got a chance to run around this: my overall impression is really positive!
This map feels settled for the most part, and I would just echo the fact that it looks great and really shines in a few spots. My criticisms are similar to those little details Lepubledeslapin pointed out, minor stuff.
Some conceptual things to think about for your next map:
-A bit more interesting playable space, a lot of Marquis feels like narrow streets or alleys, which isn't ad exciting as the broad avenues of Paris IMO
-Some more interesting bombsites
Overall it's a great looking map and I have a strong feeling you will be very successful with it!

This entire thing, this entire goddamn thing, is a ploy to find out Nexuz' real name.
We're waiting, motherfucker.

This looks fucking great! Now I'm really amped. Don't blow it.

Quote from knjI mean it was great, evolution of Mr. White in to Heisenberg, and relations between Jessie and Walt.External Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. But can someone explain to me, what was the purpose of poisoning Brock with that flower ? I still don't get it
The point was to make Jesse think that Gus had done it, Walt made him think that Gus had a history of killing kids (like the drug dealer kid)

That looks phenomenal.

The benefits of an out of game server browser far outweigh any of the positives (there are none) of having it in your in-game UI. I can't think of a single reason why it's better for the developer or the player to implement a server browser in game aside from people unwilling to accept anything at all different.
But wait, Steam does this and has for 10 years and it's amazing and life changing, no more fucking around just jump into your MP match and you're good to go.
Battlefield does it and it's the worst thing that's happened to the human experience and gives you diarrhea also.
I understand you're trying to curb the Origin hate, and that's fair, someone needs to at a certain point, but browser usage is really annoying.
Why the need to reinvent the wheel? Isn't the entire point of having applications that they are seperate and distinct? Combining a bunch of different shit into a browser is just plain unintuitive. It's one of the only issues I had with Quake live, instead of neat and tidy update downloads, it always felt like it was trying to hijack your browser with strange plugins. It also really devalues the idea that Origin is a thing, instead of working on their UI and getting some reasonable facsimile of Steam, they put everything into a browser so that it feels even more cheap and weak-ass. It's also a lot like conceeding defeat: they knew people wouldn't want two balls-out gaming platforms on their PC, so they tried to do something differently from Steam since they knew people were not going to ditch Steam entirely. Unfortunately the method they pursued just gave up the game, it was whack. I guess Quake live recently wised up and moved things into an app.
I'd have a more up to date opinion of things if my last impression of Origin wasn't BF3. I know I'm becoming a broken record, but seriously, Origin was a day late and a dollar short to the Steam party and everybody knows it. The lesson is innovate first, pretty much.
And now their fuck up de-rails the Titanfall thread. Sorry

I guess this is eligible to post here.
I'm using this as an opportunity to understand UDK better and improve on my art/modelling skills in general. More models for the scene are to come.
As it is now, it feels pretty desaturated. And like always, everything is still pretty early work in progress.

Nice man, that's good progress. Keep at it.

To be fair, this was like AOL days. It was also the first of its kind.
Then again what annoys me about Origin really is ultimately the fact that its not Steam, not that there is any particular issue I have with it. I just found it weird and unwieldy in BF3 days, last time I tried it. Haven't been tempted to bother since.

I like it, but I think you're starting to get noisy and there are a few too many conflicting, beighish colors in the screens. Get rid of the construction materials and grittyness, and try to make it look like a greenhouse:
Red brick/wood walls (light contrast), extensive use of white wood for a pillar system

This will bring out the greens in the plants and make them rich, and lush, which is what season is going to be successful with imo

That looks really great. I think players will like the straightforward gameplay angles

It kinda reminds me of NS2 in a way, also.
Looks beautiful

My first StatTrak weapon. It's a shame I don't use AWP. Might start using it though!

Been playing the Operation Bravo maps and they're a lot of fun. Good work to those involved!
Very nice awp. Worth almost $50, for those curious

--Em--, yeap. If only I read that a week ago. I kinda regret having paid for this really, probably the very first time I regret having bought a game, in my whole life! This is borderline horrible, buggy, laggy, performance is really bad, and overall the game just feels really horrible to play. (Probably due to the ARMA2 stuff behind it)
This is so frustrating to read, because ever since the mod I felt like Day-Z had the potential to be the ultimate game. I still think it could be, by other developers on another engine.
