You won't be seeing that game on PC, since according to them no one plays FPS games with mouse+keyboard anymore.

Hmmm. Actually, it looked kinda cool. But no PC means that my interest is pretty non-existant unfortunately...

Okay, just finished it! All in all, it was a very good game! If you can live with the reduced horror-level, I definitely recommend it.

The game itself is hella-fun. Blasting necros is always enjoyable and there is enough enemy variety to keep you interested throughout the campaign. The absolute highlight of the game is the weapon crafting and resource collection. Acquiring parts, upgrades, raw materials and assembling badass tools of destruction is very rewarding. At every opportunity I remixed or remade my arsenal to try something new; only towards the end did I stick to my deadly favourites. I will probably do a "New Game+" replay of the game on a harder difficulty and continue my brutal experimentation (for science!). It's simply that much fun.

The campaign story could've been better. I love the premise of Dead Space and it's ingridients (markers, necromorphs, unitology etc). It's a very potent and intruiging mix that, unfortunately, is very hard to wrap up in one game. Visceral Games was probably in a very tough spot but they managed to pull of a decent main story. Not great, but decent. I have to give a huge plus for all the audio, text and video logs though. They tell haunting side-stories that were surprisingly engrossing!

    Hi coolfacts!

Want to hear a cool fact? Generally, it's really good if you take the time to experiment on your own, google the problem (the above link was the first result for "curved staircase hammer") and then post in the right forum if you still need help. Because if you do those three things first, it feels less like we are the manservants of a lazy person when we help you out.

Nope, it's poorly explained. Also, while you might not be able to afford blueprints, you can usually build your own weapons pretty well. When you purchase a blueprint, it contains EVERY little attachment and circuit that is part of the weapon, so that's why blueprints can be pretty costly.

I'm almost at 50% completion according to the save file info and I've got my fair share of parts and resources. I have access to most guns in my blueprints-list (as in I either have the parts or the resources to purchase them). But I prefer building my own guns. I have been scavenging like a mofo and have done most side missions (I think..). With the scavenger bot, do you just send it out or do you go to the location that is marked out on the display (that has an audio cue)? That makes a huge difference.

Still enjoying the game. I think I'm slowly making my way to the 50% mark now!

So, this is basically an action game. But with lots of tension. And while that's bad if you were looking for pure horror, it's not a bad game. I absolutely LOVE the weapon system. Every time I encounter a Bench (crafting station) I rebuild my weapons and try new combinations. It's a lot of fun.

It's possible that the people who got layed off were very specialised in a certain field that's no longer of interest, like hardware. Having them stay at Valve would've perhaps been a waste of potential and talent.

Whatever you do, please keep each filetype in it's own BZ2. Makes my life so much simpler.

Also, the server is dead for some reason. It's not likely to be fixed until tomorrow so it looks like we'll have to postpone. :<

Yeah, the server is dead you guys. Gonna strangle someone at INX-gaming soon...

Looks like we're gonna have to reschedule.
