Okay, I'm sorry. When you said review scores I didn't know we were rating your emotions from a scale of one to hundred lmao.

Yeah, that is magic because generally that's not how reviews work. In fact, some reviewers might actually be very opposed to the idea that a AAA game has ZERO possibilites of SP. All in all, it's hard to point at the SP as a net loss. The average review score of 89 sould prove this.

BF3 is the best BF to date. The SP doesn't magically detract from the MP.

Most of us can agree that, if all the effort that went into the SP was funneled into the MP it would be an even better game. But you seriously can't say that the MP experience is hamstrung!

Just watched Dredd. Really enjoyed it. It doesn't take itself so seriously and was pretty entertaining.

I liked the first game, so this will probably, most likely - be really good.

    Unbiased, man.

that looks pretty cool. is it source engine? I was honestly really really impressed until I saw the combat, it looks a little floaty and awkward with the police crouching and not looking very responsive. Either way, could shape up very nicely

Nah, it's our own DIESEL engine.

There's a lot of differences which I don't think the gameplay video necessarily shows (sneak gameplay, progression, mission structure, career tree, weapon handling etc). But it'll be shown in due time.

Check out the teaser guys! As I've recently joined Overkill, this is what I'm working on (together with mapcore-member tailgunner).

Yeah, I haven't really reached that point yet but I definitely feel there is one and that it isn't that long until you reach it.

I think we might see an increase in city size sooner or later. Also, I think they should allow maps that have water or lots of hills to be slightly larger. The amount of useable land still won't be the same as completely flat maps

Really enjoying my time so far. I think the key to longevity in this game is experimentation with different kinds of cities (since the map size is so limited).

The region play aspects seem pretty minor so far and I dont think they'll provide much depth in the longer term. I think Maxis were afraid of commiting too much to region play (which was perhaps a wise decision).

So far, I've got to say I've enjoyed playing an oil-specialized city. You can't just build a min-maxed grid since you gotta keep oily patches available for drilling. Producing, refining and shipping oil also provides you with some fun infrastructure puzzling. Just be sure to choose a reasonably flat piece of land; oil refineries, oil fields and trade ports all take up a lot of space.

Okay guys, I've abandoned New Puddingtonville! It's called "Pinewood Hills" on the Mapcore region and should give you a 150 000 simoleon cash reward for claiming it (I demolished everything and left the cash). That should be enough to clean up some of my ground pollution.

EDIT: Moving into a nearby, more flat city. There simply wasn't room for oil refineries and shit on a piece of land that was basically a hill.

They are going to always want more I think. Even if you have a perfect grid with only skyscrapers they'll want you to build more.

Increasing density of areas takes time. If you use the Building Density data layer you should see which areas are likely to expand and which are stagnant. Select a building that really should expand and see if it's showing the "Not enough room to increase density"-message. That's a possibility if the roads are built too tightly.
