Wasn't in time for the first map but Workout was a lot of fun. JeanPaul already mentioned some of my feedback (the bleachers). Besides that, I think that you should consider doing something about how the kids area relates to the sniper alley JeanPaul mentioned. There's so many ways to loop around eachother which can become a nuisance for CT's as they have to lock down all main paths to prevent backstabbing.

You don't remove a hurdle by putting a wall instead is my opinion. My approach to equality is to give everyone the same opportunities, rights and duties unlike the sort of SJW's who are more into prohibition, regulation and faux solutions.

Attitudes towards female gamers are not gonna change by putting them away safely in a box. It's hard for them sure. But they are pioneers, same like the first blacks who went to formerly white schools.

I'm not a leftist person in nature. But part of leftist people's approach and analysis to some questions like "opportunities" is compelling. For example; in Sweden, every Tom, Dick and Harry can study to be whatever the fuck they want. But there's a tendency that kids in families where the parents are rich academics go on to higher studies whilst working class kids don't. Parents in the upper middle class and above tend to A, more actively take a part in choice of school and curriculum, B, be able to support their children with their school work and raise any issues they see with their childs education and finally, C, encourage their children more to go on to higher studies. Would you say that all kids have the same "opportunity", in reality, to go on to higher studies? The answer is pretty clearly no. The part that leftists get wrong are usually the solution, where they go ape-shit and do all kinds of weird shit in the name of equality. True equality is a lie of course, but that doesn't mean a society shouldn't pursue some level of equality (leftists usually fuck it up though). On paper, eSports-tournaments are equal opportunity (you can sign up, qualify, play, win regardless of gender), I dare say that in reality things become a bit skewed. That's why it is potentially better to create a more inviting environment for female competitors.

Here's an article which basically brings up my view point (and counters to my view point). They bring up chess as a parallel because it's a sport which is not physical in nature yet still sees leagues divided by gender. As the article says, the community ultimately has to decide what's best and I think we will see a mix of different approaches in the near future. http://www.polygon.com/2014/7/11/5870…-female-leagues

It's time. Going to put some effort into workout/diet as I want to lose some reserve kilos I have. Going to depart from my "eat whatever the fuck I want, when I fucking want"-lifestyle. Thanks for sharing tips and info in this thread (mkanderson most recently)! Current Puddy specs:

    Height: 1.96m

    Current weight: 93 kg

Highest recorded weight: 103 kg (4-5 years ago)

Lowest recorded weight*: 83 kg (after hospital stay lmao)

Kinda tempted too, but from what I've read the game doesn't last very long (it gets a bit samey).

    Waiting for a sale, personally.

Cobblestone seems like an odd choice though. But will still be interesting to see how that plays out

    Big rofls.

Valve is pushing both cobblestone and overpass, and removing train, into the compete map pool for ESL One (with 250k prizepool). Just a little more than a month before the event. Competitive players are gonna get a serious case of butthurt. Overpass is definitely getting "there" after being iterated upon, but I have to seriously question Cobblestone. :/

Didn't look that good, neither from an art direction nor technical standpoint.

Another MOBA is pretty zzzzzzz. Feels like this proves, once again, that Gearbox should stick to Borderlands.

The multiple paths? Black Gold has. B long, B short, A Long, and a "Mid".

I'm sorry, but it's a bit weird dismissing the "multiple paths" criticism like that. Blackgold is clearly more open, interconnected and "pathy" than your typical CS GO map (and which is why the reddit post on the last page has 1300 upvotes, because there's some truth to it). This doesn't mean the map is bad or anything, it's just a different style.

I just saw another trailer for this and while I am wholly uninterested in the game, an interesting thought came to mind: will this game sell worse than if it was called Borderlands 3? The name can be potentially confused for DLC, a spin-off game for XBLA/PSN or handhelds or mobiles or just something along those lines. My first reaction upon hearing it was: "wat".

Relic have never been very good at balance, let's be honest here. They've lost the plot a bit since DoW 1.

Quoted for Truth. They lost it and regained it a bit with CoH 1 which was fairly balanced after a few patches. But then they were like, herpaderpa, let's make an expansion with two overly-gimmicky factions who focuse solely on being stationary or being mobile. Yeesh.
