you guys are so unimaginative!
i want to see a game where you play as a marine, in space, who has to save the world.

but sentura always has most bizarre opinions.. seemingly just for the sake of trolling, but then you realise that it his actual opinion and it somehow makes it worse.
anyway, torchlight and diablo 3 have a hand drawn style. but torchlight looks very heavily inspired by world of warcraft so by that stgring of brilliant logic, diablo 3 has a similar hand drawn style to torchlight.
the difference that matters in my opinion, is that the style of diablo 3 is really rich and feels like an oil painting come to life. they seem to have focused on broad strrokes that show detail without getting into the fiddly pixel pushing details that others tend to get bogged down with.
personally, i really like the d3 style, i don't like the WoW style, and i don't mind the torchlight style. go figure. opinions.
as for bliz norths game being preferable to d3 - it doesn't really work like that. you don't have a choice between the two. bliz north's was canned for whatever reasons and i imagine d3's art style had nothing to do with bliz north's version failing. ie: they didn't can the original and then sit down and say "shit guys we need to make sure we don't get canned again, let's change the art style and jump on the WoW bandwagon we are about to create".
that's all i'm saying brosef, now i gotta go eat sum cerealsszzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
yeah i think i made a mistake and accidently posted the same image twice
oh that's alright then.
carry on.
Quote from MazyWhile on the subject of Kotaku, I've found myself basically not visiting the site at all after they changed the design. Can't stand it, makes navigating their site a chore. Also they seem like they go off topic constantly, every other post is about the editors having a conversation or something completely unrelated to anything. The Gawker sites in general are the tabloids of the internet blogging world, Kotaku just seemed a bit more decent for a while I guess. But in all fairness then they did update the story about Bungie.
they updated it, then left the entire story up, including all the other quotes.

please please please don't tell me that is your idea of evidence that diablo 3 looks like torchlight?
thmbnail images that have been desperately taken in the same general area (oh no, both games have a bridge! oh no, both games have a room!).
using a thumbnail comparison i can prove without a shadow of a doubt that crysis and farcry require the same system specs, and have the same graphics. crytek just reused all the assets and charged another 50 bucks for the same game! how dare they!

see, the problem with talking shit, is that it stinks.

damn guys, did i just accidentally link to the same image 3 times, cause i really can't tell the difference!
it's almost like i don't have any artistic eye whatsoever and confuse opinion with fact!
what is it with grumpy employees and their inability to respect an NDA?
this whole discussion is pathetic
i 100% guarantee that if blizzard had made diablo 3 an isometric game built in the same style as d1+2, people would be complaining that blizzard can't make bold changes with art direction and that they are a 1 trick pony, or that the grimdark theme is so 1990's, why don't blizzard get out of the past? etc etc etc ad infinitum.
people will complain about anything and personally i am sick of all the shit surrounding d3 - it looks like a great game, i love the art style, i love the use of colour (people make judgments and you don't even know if there's a shift of colour and theme across the game, the zones, etc, speculation based on self-entitlement and a desire to complain about everything).
i'll be buying and enjoying the shit out of this regardless
i was joking, obviously.
Quote from JetsetlemmingJust how big do you think the PC platform is for games compared to consoles?
Pretty damn big, but then most people like to ignore chinese mmos and russian games when they think of the games industry ![]()
Quote from Rick_DThrik man, you're forgetting that not everyone who would pirate a game would actually buy it if they had to spend money on it. there's a gap in the market between those who could become customers, but pirate instead, and those who wouldn't become customers if there was no pirating.
this is an interesting little myth. if you want something, then you buy it. if you can't afford it or don't really want it, then you don't buy it.
where piracy differs is that we can take it and never worry about buying.
it's very easy to look at the current situation and say "oh but those games, movies, albums, i wouldn't have bought those anyway" - but that's because you know how easy it was to pirate them. if piracy did not exist, or was vastly more inconvenient then things would be a lot different.
as it stands it's impossible for you to say 100% that pirates would not have bought the game. and while there's people that say they wouldn't have bought it anyway, there's also a lot of shit talking faggots out there.
this is not even a debate, i don't really want to read your reply. thanks. o/
People who use homophobic slurs in general speech are far worse than pirates.
sounds like something a faggot would say
Quote from Jetsetlemmingrelevant to current events: This just got leaked.http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011- ... ked-online
Off topic of the actual leak itself, it seems really weird to me that a "non-3d" copy of the game can shed half the game's size, over 20GB. I can only imagine it's a shitload of prerendered 3d video or something.
3d audio
