Awesome!
I think the general consensus is that the "2 years of experience requirement" is there to filter away the nubs.
But if you feel that you are not a nub anymore you should definitively apply, regardless of experience time ![]()
yeah, i think I will then, the reason I was sketchy about it was because ninja theory flat out turned me down for "not enough experience" even with a personal recommendation from one of their senior designers and having met the lead designer.
Rick, rick never changes. ![]()
To be fair, Ninja Theory turned me down for not having a Maths A-Level which wasn't even a requirement. I always found that odd when I had a Computer Science A Level instead.
Quote from Rick_Dmaybe you weren't very good?
haha, maybe, but i would have thought they would tell that to my mate when he asked them. They didn't actually see my stuff from my professional projects as they never even got as far as asking.
On this note though, im putting together footage from my last project, all the videos are like 40mb per minute so I need to compress them so that I can actually edit them together, anyone got any suggestions of some good converters?

Virtualdub and the Xvid codec. If you need more finesse with editing (for, say, putting clips together for a demo reel?) you'll need commercial software like Vegas or Premier.
Yeah I used fraps to record at work then used virtual dub to compress them but they are still massive, ill try converting them to use the Xvid codec. Yeah I have vegas to put them together, the problem is currently they are too big and thus the preview just lags and makes it impossible to edit. Thanks to mazy ive found the answer, mov. files, about half the size but still good quality. Works perfectly in vegas, now to spend 10 hours converting dozens of videos.
Bulletstorm and Killzone 3 have been leaked as well...
Okay, should we get accustomed to this or what?
This has been happening since the psx days that I can remember.
oh that's alright then.
carry on.
