Thrik man, you're forgetting that not everyone who would pirate a game would actually buy it if they had to spend money on it. there's a gap in the market between those who could become customers, but pirate instead, and those who wouldn't become customers if there was no pirating.

this is an interesting little myth. if you want something, then you buy it. if you can't afford it or don't really want it, then you don't buy it.

where piracy differs is that we can take it and never worry about buying.

it's very easy to look at the current situation and say "oh but those games, movies, albums, i wouldn't have bought those anyway" - but that's because you know how easy it was to pirate them. if piracy did not exist, or was vastly more inconvenient then things would be a lot different.

as it stands it's impossible for you to say 100% that pirates would not have bought the game. and while there's people that say they wouldn't have bought it anyway, there's also a lot of shit talking faggots out there.

this is not even a debate, i don't really want to read your reply. thanks. o/

Looking forward to seeing how it tie's into the first game. Think the other video talked about one of the characters. Crysis is such a great game beyond the graphics.

Just how big do you think the PC platform is for games compared to consoles?

Pretty damn big, but then most people like to ignore chinese mmos and russian games when they think of the games industry

People who use homophobic slurs in general speech are far worse than pirates.

lmao, the amount of butthurt exceeds the amount of arguments here. i already said that this wasn't the case for 100% of pirates, but that there may be some.

    Damn yoooooou crytek!!!

Another studio where level design positions require: Minimum 2 Years professional experience otherwise I would be applying to you.

I really don't get two years, I learnt the majority of what I needed to know about working professionally within the industry within 2 months. I got the same thing from ninja theory, "not enough experience".

Personally I think I've learned so much after my first 2 years experience even before joining Crytek, I'd say it takes several games (of the same type) to consider yourself experienced but you never stop learning.

In two months you can't absorb enough information to consider yourself experienced, all you've done is worked on one of many stages of development, pre-production, production and post production of a title.

The 2 years is an arbitrary number, as a guestimate of your contribution to a game (shipped or not) at various stages.

We had more entry level positions in the past, but as you can see there are none on the website now

the thing that annoys me about it is that im only 4 months short of that mark.
