i actually stopped playing because it is boring as shit. AAA aspirations made with 1/20th of the budget means choppy cutscenes, bad dialogue, stiff acting, annoying bugs and generally poor pacing.
a nice attempt but overall dull.

combat looks terrible

let's do it - we'll test cs_agency as well if possible
-
on the topic of players suggesting that gooseman's ideas of CS are brilliant: i wonder how many will jump over to support Tactical Intervention.

at least they mentioned favela lmao - valve should make it official

DICE hiring lighting artists and senior level artists. Pass along my info to relevant people, Mazy. Cheers! ([email protected])

i only killed the surgeon, stabbed him with his own scalpel - the other two stayed out of my way. you bloodthirsty people sicken me.

man. that felt like it would never end and i was quite disappointed it did. i will need to let that settle in before making any judgments, but overall i feel it's pretty "brave" to do that kind of thing in a video game.
some things worth noting:
best cutscene animation in any game ever.
best cinematography in any game ever (felt like an actual camera instead of the typical cameras flying through the air on splines).
best writing and voice acting in any game ever.
the giraffes.
the sheer relief when you clear out infected, my god how tense is this fucking game.
everything else.

Great news that it's going to be open world, we always wanted to go in that direction for the sequel originally, but the tech just wasn't there at the time.
I'm looking forward to seeing where the Dice posse go with this. (Just watch dem colours!)
i'm going to encourage a complete lack of colour just to piss you off. If you wanted colour you shouldn't have quit to work on interactive books!
come back

I think you touched on the main problem I have there. I personally thought the content in Battlefield 3 upon release was meagre at best. I was a huge fan of BF2 and BF2142 and enjoyed most of the maps, but in BF3 it felt like many of them were designed for more CoD-based fans and there were only a few in the core game I felt were truly Battlefield maps.
I'm kind of expecting the same to happen again: a paltry selection of maps, at least half of which are designed for this new generation of FPS gamers (ie: small and not very open). Not that I'm saying both sides shouldn't be catered for, but when the amount of content for each becomes so small it makes it very hard to stomach being stung for a few extra maps unless I preorder.
With the Karkand maps included I'd say that BF3 just about felt like decent value for money, but the core game certainly didn't. I never got any of the DLC because by that point I'd decided that I'd spent enough on that game.
1942 and bf2 released with like 8 maps, the rest were added later in boosters/expansions. only thing that's changed is now you pay for it. it's not free/cheap to support games on consoles, there's a big cost every time you put out new content for people. charging supports the studio and the dev team that make the content. from a personal point i would love to see things added for free but that's why i'm not in charge.

' timestamp='1370901349' post='334763']Also, curious fact, it seems to be running on Frostbite engine too, I can tell because of the overuseage of the chromatic abberation and render style / AO is very similar to battlefields.
says frostbite at the end of the teaser. it's frostbite!
also there's only chromostereopsis in the impacts during combat, it isn't on elsewhere.

all accounts say yes. this is slightly voyeuristic but it was the ol' pills. problem with pills is a good stomach pump and a week in hospital and you're back on form. so hopefully nobody died.
it's far more agonising to live a long life and die at 80. then you can suffer for a good 60+ years.

watch out guys, the edgy police are here!
