I enjoyed it a lot, certainly a worthy addition to the series, nice to see a more human side to Bond and watching him actually take damage for once takes away some of the cheese from the old films without ruining any of the old atmosphere. I thought that the new villian was a perfect bond bad guy with the scar and all, I wonder if they'll be someone to rival Jaws in the future. I'm very sceptical about the future seeing that all of Mr Flemming's original books have been done, I have a horrible vision of American scriptwriters being taken on board and shitting on the franchise *shudder*

This does look very impressive I must say, being able to play as the different enemy classes is a very good step towards some very diverse gameplay, like Natural Selection with zombies

You should definately carry on with it, there's not a lot there perhaps but what is actually there is looking awesome!
Ok just fiddling around here with more open jungle terrain:

Most of the foliage are placeholders (especially those trees, which are horrid!) but textures and man-made props are pretty much final.

You missed the part where it says that it's a collab?
No, it looks completely different as if he's working on two source grunts or something! I saw that on HIT, there's no mention of you in there unless you're using a different name and I missed it or something.
Anyway, it's good work keep it up.
Quote from chunkI would use a different camo scheme. The grunts in HL1 were supposedly marines. I would use the woodland camo pattern or the current digi ones.
..in an Urban environment? They would look a bit bloody odd and surely the green camo would stand out like a sore thumb thus defeating the objective of camoflague...

What about this one then?

Cool stuff D3ads! Did you ever checked out de_predator by 3dmike? I think thats the best djungel map i ever seen in HL1 engine.
It was pretty crap really apart from the Lenses flare effect
My jungle isn't in the same style really so there wont be that many huge trees around, mostly largish sized ones underneath a medium canopy.tomdon: That is amazing! Never ceases to amaze me the amount of talent we have here, keep it up!
All other links are broken

[edit] Actually my Internet is sucking the cock atm..

Take a look at the image below:
[Blocked Image: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v221/deathcrush/crate_colourloss.jpg]
On the left side is a simple single brush crate with textures applied, no problems there. However, I wanted to add a bit of detail to the usual square crate so on the right I made the cover and rope attatchments as a masked texture and applied it over the original crate (with modified texture to suit) and extended the side so it looks more three-dimensional. Unfortunately as you can see, despite the fact that the textures are pretty much the same, the masked one has a lot of colour loss (which is strange because they both look the same in Hammer).
Anyone know why this is?
The lighting in that shot is fullbright but the same problem occurs when there is light applied too, most irritating. Also it occurs with masked models too, look at the green plant in this shot:

It's missing colours, this is the model in HLMV with the skin texture on the right:

What am I doing wrong

Making a decent looking jungle map in Half-Life = Mission: Impossible
Then call me Ethan Hunt

Cheers for the possitive comments, here's a tiny update again, mainly to show off more plant models and I lightened the bark.. which is probably too bright now

Appologies if this is all turning out dark for you, my flatscreen always makes things look lighter than normal monitors..
Here's some Vietcong shots for comparison:
