I got back from the annual Beerfloating event here in Finland.
My first time participating. Basically the idea is to float ~5km down the river
on random boats and rafts and at the same time drink beer.
The event has grown every year and this time around 400 people
floated down the river.
It was AWESOME. I'm going there next year for sure.
So yeah here's a few pictures.

I recommend Planetside, but you really need to join a good unit to enjoy
the game 100%. Also the number of players isn't what it used to be

kuebel I liked the youtube debates, I think it's a fresh new idea.
The videos were fun and it displayed that even presidential candidates
have a sense of humor. I wish the Finnish elections were as interesting as
in US ones are

It' cute, looks good. I wish the tree's weren't so simple and repeating but
I fear that making the tree's more detailed would change the overall
good feel of the scene.

Please point me to a HL2 mod that has all of the above.
To be successful you have to look at the game not from
a hardcore gamergeek perspective, but from a person who plays for fun
and shit giggles. And even after that you still can't be sure you have
a winner on your hands.

the map looks good, lighting is ok, brushwork is ok.
All around goodie, but nothing that blows my mind away.
Looks well suited for an arcade-type fast gameplay.
Might look a bit more interesting if you maybe had a coloured light_env.
Right now you can see the red dustclouds in the skybox but the
"harsh desert sandstorm" feel doesn't relay into the area of gameplay
in any way.
Just a few of my thoughts.

I like the release. I honestly think even as the first beta release for the mod,
it's the best HL2 mod out there. The voice-acting needs some work, also
the client keeps crashing on my pc but that'll probably be taken care of
along the way once the updates and beta versions advance.
