Nightclub level looks like Collateral, even with Vincent's grey suit... fekcing awesome! Please tell me it's more like co-op Hitman than Freedom-Fighters-Squad-thing (nothing against that game, though, I just lurve me some 47), though!

    New stuff ^

Interesting... I was just playing Blood Money today, too... didn't realise those clever chaps at IO had put snippets into the newspaper clippings between levels ...I *thought* some of the stories had gone unanswered, just figured they were from cut levels

I got a friend to buy it and now he loves it despite being skeptical with the silly (but cool) title and the "strange" style. As he describes it.

He now describes it as ... "the animation is so perfect" ... "I love the characters" ... "It's like a movie." ... "It's just so perfect" ... "The Pig-man is cool."

I played this at E3... I practically bought my 360 for this game.

The 72 hour thing intrigues me... anyone know how this is gonna work? At E3 you had the kind of GoldenEye watch thing and it said something about the helicopter picking you up in such-and-such-time, will this be realtime?

He has kind of earned it by getting an interview, and then going to the interview and doing well enough (despite going on about vanilla icecream all the time ) to get a job there.

Yes, the thread is silly, and yes Vivi needs a haircut, but I really admire his enthusiasm and excitement and that really comes through in his blog.

Don't let the bastards grind you down.

Actually, this is interesting. I thought the topic would be more to do with copyrighting 'concepts'... I remember Randy "Randy" Pitchford saying something about sending the lawyers after anyone who tried to copy BiA's fix, flank, fire gameplay, and remember thinking 'how are they going to enforce that?' - anyone [from GBX] know if that's still ready to be enforced or how it would in theory be enforced? Surely you could then copyright movie and book "ideas"?

    Crytek Represent. Aiii.

Friechamp told me write that. I don't know what's he's been smoking. Probably breakable trees.

Well, of course portals as technology isn't new to FPSs, as everyone here should know.

But yeah... it's intergrating it into gameplay that's Valve's strong suit.

Like they did with physics in HL2... heck, even GoldenEye had basic physics back in 1997 (shoot a mounted screen, shoot a crate/chair/etc) but it was the way Valve did it that was so ®evolutionary.

I like the look of Portal, though... looks like something that would be monotonous and boring for 12 hours, but for a small game bundled with Episode 2; it's a great idea. And it kinda reminds me of The Cube, which is cool.

It looks good. Like a gritty Tango & Cash.

    I'll get me coat.

I think the problem with these things is that by the time they're out, they're usually out of date, and the real guys who know this stuff don't have time to write it down!

The best place for this type of current info tends to be forums like these, and articles on Modding sites (or Mod author's personal sites).

Sounds really really fun... if a little gimmicky.

Like TFC Spy meets Hitman Online.

Might give this a whirl, actually.

I'd love to see the Turtles remake this, although it always a bit too big and windy for me... there were tighter maps.

Still, love the theme (some cool shader possibilities), although RS Vegas will kinda have it covered soon...

And yeah... Backalley was pretty underrated, although it did become a camp-fest in which games usually lasted the full round-time, which kept it from being popular. I'm so glad Train was so well-received, though, 'tis one of my favourites.
