Looks cool, but it's a bit washed out. I think the levels could use a little adjustment

Yeah inferno is a total mess. I couldn't even figure out where the hell I was half of the time because every area was so messy and over-populated with stuff. It's the only map where I can tear it up with the para. The reason? Everyone has like 10 fps.

Looks good, but the thumb seems a little strange / wonky. Maybe it's just the angle of the picture.

I'll buy it anyway. I'm a sucker for valve's charms

-
There's a bug in the SDK at the moment that causes the cubemaps to be overly bright.

Yeah you can still detail, you've just got to be very careful so it doesn't impede flow or concing etc. There's not nearly as much freedom to detail as there is in other mods, but it can definitely be done. Subtle use of clip brushes, non-solid props and func_illusionaries helps a lot.

It's possibly something to do with it trying to put the file in a directory that doesn't exist. If I try to do that with several other valve tools it will usually error or crash. Can't say for sure, just something for you to rule out.

Violent games have been in the mainstream for around a decade now and millions of people play them, yet only a tiny amount of cases have shown any kind of link to video games, and even then it's usually tenuous / debatable to say the least. Obviously games should be sold to the age group they're recommended for, as it's probably not healthy for 10 year olds to play violent games.
The people I despise are the ones that are so eagre to attribute violence / bad behaviour to anything other than poor parenting / bad upbringing etc. Especially when the people that blame the games bought them for their kids in the first place.
Since the advent of rock and roll music people have always looked for the boogey man to pin the blame on. Rock and roll, heavy metal, backwards messages in songs, violent films, video nasties and horror movies and the list goes on. Video games is just the latest thing to blame when things go wrong.

Yeah it's really good. I especially like monkey news and Ricky screeching like a girl when he laughs at Karl

Half of a Wacom Intuos 3 A5
(don't worry, I didn't have to hacksaw it in half, I paid for the other half myself.) -
Nothing to say other than "hot damn". That's some sweet stuff.
I agree with the HDR comments, it's too much right now.

Yeah the main reason I made it was for some skinning practice

Nice one, have fun

The fact that your gun's got "Replica" written down the side... swooooooooooooosh... and mine's got "Desert Eagle, point five ohhhh" swooooooooooooooooosh... should precipitate your balls into shrinking. Now, fuck off.
Just some practice, took longer than it should and I haven't optimised / quaded it just yet. Since I modeled the grooves in the side it's currently weighing in at 2.5k polys which is obviously too much for the standard of the model. I'll optimise it when I have the time.

I noticed the same thing and just gave up on using smoothing groups.

It looks a little ambiguous -- like a cross between metal and concrete.

Klein looks a lot like this dude that ran me over in a jeep in BF2. Oh wai

-
I think Freeman's adventures through highway 17 would've been a lot more fun if you were able to drive that thing. Nice work

Yup. My beta SDK works, but a tonne of stuff is broken (props show up as "obsolete" amongst other things).
