  • Looking for Looters ?

Evert, I'm sorry, but I just can't respect people who don't respect human life, I don't believe that anyone here is such a cold hearted person that he would rather kill a guy than let him loot a fucking store.

I agree that looting peoples homes is just plain wrong, but ripping off some wall-mart or something is not something worth killing for.

And taking a life, to me is the ultimate crime, especially in situation like this, a guy carrying a tv from a store and some wacko comes and shoots him. There is no bigger crime than that.

But hey, like you said, a free country, people should be free to kill people with minimal penalty, WHERE IS THE FREEDOM TO LIVE IN THERE!

I can understand the looters, there are no insurance or social security to take care of you after this is over, you are on your fucking own. And for the big stores that get looted (not sure abot the smaller ones tho), insurance will cover most of their losses, and I don't think that a big chain will go belly up if one of it's stores is looted.

I understand the "looting" for necessities like food and water, maybe dry clothes so you don't get sick and all. But people picking up microwave owens and tvs is just bit over the top. Guy hauls a tv out and remembers "oh, right, my house was destroyed on the hurricane and I have so food, well atleast I don't miss the rerun of M.A.S.H."

    Izuno: I think it's real.

I don't care if dudes are carrying off plasma tvs and dvd players. What the fuck is with people obsessed with material? People shooting looters? Hell yeah, that is right, good excuse.. I hope those fucking jerkoffs who shoot people are caught, put on a line, shot and buried in a nameless mass grave.

It's a disaster, people die, human lifes are still in danger, homes gone, relatives dead, everything is fucked up, and there are people shooting each other? And that is right? Ok, everyone who thinkgs that is right, pick up your monitor, lay your head on the table, and drop the monitor on your head, if you are still alive, repeat.

    Kosmo, not evrything is american.

Surely I should know since I live in Finland, drinking coffee from Kenya, and typing this message on a computer made it Taiwan, sitting on a chair made in Sweden.

It just typical American comedy (Comedy Central) to make fun of other people, you should hate it too, being all tolerant and all. I just can't find what is funny about laughing on someones misfortune or lack of something, the whole culture seems to produce only loathe to fellow man.

We will miss you when you are gone, since that will surely happen, I just got rid of my addictive 3 month 24/7 cycle of WoW, and I still get cold sweat when I see the WoW icon on my desktop.

Maybe you should do like SolidSharkey and put up a site, do something more than just sling mud at mod makers, do something not so fucking american comedy that only seems to diss other people or their work, come up with some really funny jokes or atleast try not to have fun on other peoples expense, then I will laugh and enjoy your jokes, but before that, you are just a sad little brick in a wall of medicore american comedy.

Well, the latest game to eat all my time was Riddick, before that I think Dungeon Siege, there is something elusive beating up mobs and collecting gear, ofcourse Diablos are dirty ones too, took alot of my life away. But the absolute crazy on time consumption might be Tie Fighter, I can't imagine that I have played any game so much, I just flew all the time.

Ofcourse, MMORPGs like WoW, Planetside and Neocron have eaten good few years off of my life. And all the clan activity on some internet games, NS, Gloom and DoD being the main culprits.

yeah, they said in a press conference that they where going to have civilian vehicles on the battlefield

Oooh, how much I love Operation Flashpoint, that game was so pimp! I'd like to see something similar on BF2, that the battlefields actually look like towns that PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIVE IN, and not those "shooting range" style villages and such that populate BF2, it looks like they are fighting on places that have been deserted for good 20 years or something, no signs that there were people before the war started what so ever.

    6) why does the jet pilot say "target in sight... SIERRA HOTEL!" when he destroys the tank?

Mostly for the same reasons they say things like "Tango thirteen" even tho they are not dancing tango.

A'ight, I'm very confused.I play ns for 10 minutes: 100% chance of hardlock

I play hl2 for 8 hours: 5% chance of hardlock

ns, an hl1 mod, is no where as intense hardware wise as hl2. WTF?

Actually after I talked with NS guys few years back (when all of my clan mates had serious problems with fps going like a yoyo) they said that the particle engine and some animation stuff they did for NS is something HL engine is not supposed to do and it taxes the computer like hell. And HL2s most gfx goes through shader units so it is that more faster than old games that put load on something that has not seen a major improvement since two generations ago.

But, I'd still say that there is something fishy going on with your HL

Well, 1gig is pretty good, if renderer can use it efficiently, but the rule of thumb is that basically the more you got memory, the better you do, since even some modern games need somewhere around 2gigs to run without a hitch, I'd think that 2 gigs should be fine, tho larger the scene, larger the memory need.

Most big modelling packages come with network rendering possibility. The Xbox thing was just to demonstrate that only CPU and Mem is needed to render so even a rendering farm of Xbox consoles could do it.
